00:04Today, we're taking a look at a massive update to one of BYD's most popular models,
00:09the new BYD Atto 3 Evo. This isn't just a minor facelift, it's a comprehensive overhaul that
00:16brings significant changes to the platform, performance, and everyday usability. The biggest
00:22shift starts under the skin. The Atto 3 Evo now harnesses the latest version of the ePlatform 3.0,
00:29which fundamentally changes how the car drives. It has moved away from a strictly front-wheel drive
00:34setup to offer a choice of rear-wheel drive, design trim, or all-wheel drive, excellence trim.
00:40To handle this new power, the rear suspension has been upgraded to a more sophisticated
00:45five-link configuration for improved agility and composure. Performance-wise, the numbers are
00:51impressive. The AWD Excellence version now produces 449 PS, allowing it to sprint from
00:58zero to 100 kilometers per hour in a staggering 3.9 seconds. Even the RWD design version is quick,
01:06hitting 100 kilometers per hour in 5.5 seconds. All this is powered by a larger 74.8-kilowatt-hour
01:14blade battery, providing a combined WLTP range of up to 317 miles, 510 kilometers, on the RWD model.
01:23Charging has also seen a massive leap forward. Thanks to a new 800-volt electrical architecture,
01:30the Atto 3 Evo now supports 220-kilowatt DC fast charging, double the speed of the previous model.
01:37You can now charge from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes. Plus, the charging port has been
01:44conveniently
01:44relocated to the rear of the car. On the outside, the updates are subtle but effective. You'll notice
01:51revised front and rear bumpers, a sportier roof spoiler, and new 18-inch alloy wheels. There is
01:57also a brand new paint option called Iris Blue. Practicality is a major winner here. The boot
02:04capacity has increased to 490 liters, and there is finally a 101-liter frunk under the bonnet for
02:11charging cables or extra storage. Inside, the cabin feels much airier. The gear selector has
02:20been moved to a steering column-mounted stock, which has freed up space for a new wireless cooled
02:25smartphone charging pad. The centerpiece is the massive 15.6-inch touchscreen, which is now standard
02:32and fixed in a landscape orientation. It comes with integrated Google functions like Google Maps
02:38and a new AI-enhanced voice assistant powered by a large language model. If you go for the
02:43excellence trim, you even get a heads-up display and heated rear seats. The BYD Ado 3 Evo really lives
02:50up to its name, evolving from a solid contender into a high-performance, tech-heavy SUV that's
02:56more ready for family life than ever before.
