Taiwan’s foreign minister, Lin Chia-lung, met with Australian lawmaker Hugh McDermott during a rare stopover in Sydney. McDermott, co-chair of the New South Wales Parliament’s Taiwan Friendship Group, said he was pleased to meet Lin and other Taiwanese officials.
