Le rappeur américain Kanye West pourrait se produire au Riyadh Air Metropolitano le 30 juillet 2026. Une perspective qui provoque déjà de fortes réactions, notamment chez certains supporters de l’Atlético de Madrid. Pour eux, la question dépasse largement celle d’un simple concert : elle touche directement à l’image et aux valeurs associées au club et à son stade.  Le problème vient surtout du passé très controversé de l’artiste. Kanye West n’est pas seulement un musicien clivant : il a multiplié ces dernières années les déclarations extrêmement graves. Il a notamment affirmé publiquement voir « de bonnes choses » chez Adolf H***** et publié des messages où il disait « I love H***** » ou encore « I’m a N**i ». Des propos qui ont provoqué un tollé international et conduit plusieurs partenaires et institutions à prendre leurs distances.  En 2025, l’Australie lui a même retiré son visa après la sortie d’un morceau intitulé « Heil H***** ». Face aux critiques, Kanye West a ensuite publié des excuses publiques en affirmant ne pas être N**i ni antisémite. L’artiste a évoqué ses troubles personnels pour expliquer certains de ses comportements. Mais pour beaucoup d’observateurs, ces excuses arrivent après une série de déclarations jugées inacceptables.  Cette tournée européenne, qui pourrait notamment passer par l’Espagne, les Pays-Bas ou encore Marseille, ne fait donc pas l’unanimité. À Marseille par exemple, le maire Benoît Payan a déjà déclaré qu’il ne souhaitait pas voir l’artiste se produire au stade Vélodrome. Malgré cela, un concert reste envisagé.  Dans ce contexte, certains supporters de l’Atlético refusent catégoriquement que Kanye West soit associé au Metropolitano. Pour eux, accueillir un artiste lié à des propos glorifiant le N**isme porterait atteinte à l’image du club et renforcerait des polémiques déjà sensibles autour du football espagnol.
