37:55Hello Ferrari, top two in the opening practice session
39:08Sубтитры делал DimaTorzok
47:40You get another one of those super clips coming at you here before turn 11 and another lifting
47:44coast before really revving the engine.
48:15I'll just rewind that actually so you can hear what I'm talking about.
48:16Turn 13 and then really again hover on the throttle through that final corner.
48:22It's a really tough one to get right is turn 14 and that is a lap, a new lap of
48:29an old circuit, but in these cars, a new experience.
48:33And I loved every bit of that and I'm so pleased that the cars still look fantastically quick from the
48:40offboards as well.
48:41Yeah, they do, particularly those two Ferraris. So let's talk about that. Hello, Bernie.
48:47Talk to me about that session. And if you are one of the Tofosi, are you thinking very positive thoughts
48:53right now?
48:54Yeah, well, the Ferraris look strong all the way through testing as well.
48:57And I think that session showed that both drivers are able to get the most out of that Ferrari there.
49:02Now, we obviously, for every P1 session, don't know the fuel loads.
49:06We don't know how much has to come from the engine in either one, but that does look very strong.
49:10And the thing is, they look more in tune with the car than we have seen in Ferrari in the
49:15past.
49:16Both drivers are not making too many mistakes. We did see one, I think, from Lewis at one stage through
49:20that.
49:22But they seem to be very confident, Ferrari, a new Ferrari, compared to what we've seen at times through last
49:27year
49:28and getting the most out of the laptops through that, as you said.
49:31I mean, Lewis was leading that session for a long time until Charles absolutely put in a storming lap,
49:36which was only three seconds, as I mentioned.
49:38Start the new set of regulations to be only three tenths off what was the fastest FP1 by Lando Norris
49:45last year,
49:46the end of the set of regulations. That's a decent starting point.
49:49But I want to ask you a question that Ant was talking about in commentary there, Jensen,
49:54with regards to running these. Obviously, there's a lot of learning that they can do,
49:57but they want to know exactly where to harvest and to deploy, and therefore, you know,
50:02will they be running more so than last year, closer to what we might be seeing in race conditions, for
50:09example, or polylands?
50:11You know, I think, obviously, there's different megajoules that you can use in qualifying and in the race.
50:16But I think, for me, the big shift you're going to see from FP1 to FP2
50:20is them just understanding the systems and fine-tuning the system.
50:24So you're going to see a bigger improvement, I think, from FP1 to FP2.
50:28So they're not going to be as far off the pace as three seconds.
50:31They're going to be a lot closer to that.
50:32It's whether they can do that consistently, that pace, over a long run.
50:36That's something else that we don't know.
50:38Can I ask a really geeky question about AI and if any of that is involved?
50:43Because actually, people have been saying, you know, they're learning.
50:45They're learning where to do it.
50:46Ann keeps telling me it's mathematical modelling,
50:48but will some of these teams be employing that to help them out at the start of the season?
50:52That's not a geeky question at all, Simon.
50:54I think that when you look at where you should deploy energy around the lab,
50:58teams have been doing that since we brought in hybrids in 2014.
51:01That is mathematical modelling.
51:02They'll look at the lab.
51:03They'll look at where you should use engine deployment,
51:05where you should harvest, how to get the best out of the battery.
51:09When you look at, I think, the racing situation against other drivers,
51:13what they've got left in their battery, what they've used when,
51:16where they're vulnerable,
51:18that's, I think, where more of the AI modelling might come in
51:20and you're in this completely interactive race situation
51:24where you've got 21 other cars on the grid all changing their energy levels.
51:28How do you get the best out of that very, very quickly?
51:31And that's something I think that AI should be able to extract the data
51:34and use to give the best results.
51:36Very, very quickly.
51:37I mean, obviously, the headline again coming in was Aston Martin.
51:40Fernando didn't go out and Lance was just, you know, nominal going out there.
51:45But they weren't the only ones.
51:46There are going to be reliability issues.
51:48Lando Norris, Alex Albin, et cetera, et cetera.
51:50Yeah, most people sorted them out through the session,
51:51but there were quite a few issues at the start of the session.
51:54So, yeah, it's going to happen.
51:56But I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how good it has been this year.
52:01This is a very complicated power unit.
52:04So, yeah, it just shows how clever everyone is in Formula 1.
52:07Yeah, but it's not going to be twiddling thumbs, isn't it?
52:09It's going to be, no, the grindstone.
52:11As far as Honda are concerned, they've got so much work to do behind.
52:14But so do all of the teams,
52:15and that's why we saw an extremely busy session.
52:18Right, back for practice two from 4.35.
52:21Next up, qualifying in the Formula 3.
52:24But we're off and running in 2026.
52:26And if you're a Ferrari fan, well, you'll have enjoyed that one.
52:29Yes, it's only practice,
52:31but both of their drivers top of the timesheets.
52:34We'll see you in a little bit for us all here.
52:36Bye for now.
52:37Go and get some shut-eye.
