00:00Well, it's certainly true that the relationship between our armed forces, between our intelligence services is what really matters.
00:06But it's also true that that's based on trust. And if we are not able to deploy a single ship
00:12to support our allies in the Gulf, guess what?
00:16That does undermine our credibility, not just with the United States, but with our other allies.
00:20Now, look, I served in combat alongside Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan. Those friendships will never die.
00:26The reality, though, is we need to be making sure that we're building the next generation of friendships.
00:30And that's why we need to be standing shoulder to shoulder with our allies in the region and making sure
00:35that we're protecting our citizens and our allies all over the place.
