00:00Today I've informed Parliament that we'll be deploying the RAF with typhoons to mount
00:07defensive counter air activity against what is outrageous Houthi escalation that we've
00:13seen in recent weeks. In particular, people will bring to mind the bombing of civilian
00:19airports that led to hundreds of casualties. This is an intolerable escalation and the
00:24United Kingdom is the kind of country that when our allies call for help, we respond.
00:29People here at home are feeling in their pockets and at the pumps the price of regional instability
00:36and conflict in the Middle East. That's why the UK is responding to protect civilians
00:42and to try and bring an end to this conflict through diplomatic means, ultimately. But in
00:49the meantime, we're here to protect civilians.
