Intel board chair Frank Yeary will retire in May after overseeing four CEO transitions and the company's manufacturing decline. Craig Barratt, a former Qualcomm and Google executive who joined the board in 2025, will succeed him.

00:09Urey joined the board in 2009 and became chair in 2023. He oversaw four CEO transitions and
00:16managed the company through a decline in manufacturing and the rise of Taiwan's
00:20semiconductor manufacturing company. A year after Lipoot, Tam became CEO,
00:25Urey's departure marks another board change following three retirements last year.
00:28Urey said the company has made progress in reviving its manufacturing technology
00:33and noted that he and the board selected Tan as CEO last year.
00:37Barrett joined the Intel board in 2025 and previously worked at Qualcomm and at Google.
