00:00We have to start meeting like this.
00:02I know. I love it.
00:03Look at that Titanic necklace.
00:06That's from the Connie Stevens collection.
00:08Oh, that's so sweet. That's sweet.
00:11So tell me about when you first got involved with SAG-AFTRA.
00:15Why was it important for you to be active in the guild?
00:18Oh, wow. That's interesting.
00:20Well, birth.
00:22I come from a long line of union members.
00:27I recognized that we were failing some of our members in terms of health care and pensions and things like
00:33that.
00:33And I got, you know, riled up.
00:37So I do a full-time, free, soul-crushing job with all my heart.
00:45What is the issue that's top of mind right now for the guild?
00:49Oh, gosh.
00:50You know, there are pillars of things that are of importance to our members.
00:56We have to be able to make a living.
00:58We have to be able to feed our families.
01:00And sort of that weird middle-class actor where you could, like, get a few guest stars and survive the
01:06year isn't happening anymore.
01:09So, you know, for me, health care, pension when you retire, AI, and, you know, just finding enough human stories
01:22to tell and just telling them.
01:24Talk to me more about AI and how worried are you?
01:27You know what?
01:28I was more worried three years ago.
01:31We haven't seen it being used yet, really.
01:33Not being used well.
01:36But it's time for a little, like, leash around it, I think.
01:41Yeah.
