00:00Overseas Filipino Workers, or OFWs, bound for the Middle East have been stranded or sent home due to ongoing tensions
00:07in the region.
00:08According to the Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration Region, or OWA Region 11, many OFWs are currently affected,
00:15including some who left just as the conflict began last Saturday following the closure of several Middle Eastern airports impacting
00:23their flights.
00:24The agency confirmed that they now are processing guidelines for assistance to the stranded workers.
00:31And as of March 3, 15 stranded OFWs have already returned to the Davo region.
00:37The agency is gathering their details to expedite aid, although the guidelines are still being finalized.
