00:01A former police officer is on trial after taking selfies at the scene where a teenager
00:06was killed, a court has heard. Ryan Connolly, 41, was on duty at a cordon in Bellevail,
00:11Liverpool, in 2018 when 16-year-old Daniel G. Jameson died. Prosecutors told Manchester
00:18Crown Court that instead of guarding the scene, he laid down and took a selfie. Images from
00:24his phone included him standing in uniform and lying on grass. The court heard 24 other
00:29photographs showed detained members of the public in hospitals or police custody. Five
00:35photographs of his colleagues were also found on his phone. Connolly denies four charges of
00:40misconduct in public office.
