00:00A man accused of driving into crowds at Liverpool's Victory Parade has pleaded not guilty to 31 offences.
00:08Paul Doyle, 53, appeared via video link from prison at Liverpool Crown Court for a plea hearing on Thursday morning.
00:15He entered not guilty pleas to dangerous driving, a fray, 18 charges of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent,
00:24nine counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of wounding with intent.
00:30The defendant, wearing glasses and a grey t-shirt, appeared to be looking at papers as the charges were read to him.
00:38He shook his head at points during the arraignment.
00:42The allegations relate to 29 victims aged between six months and 77 years old.
00:49The youngest alleged victim is Teddy Everson.
00:52Seven other children who Doyle is alleged to have either injured or attempted to injure cannot be named for legal reasons.
01:01Mayside Police previously said 134 people were injured when Doyle allegedly drove his Ford Galaxy Titanium into crowds on Water Street in the city centre
01:12just after six in the evening on Monday 26th of May.
01:15Doyle was originally charged with seven offences, but 24 new counts were added to the indictment at a hearing last month.
01:26A trial expected to last three to four weeks is due to start on the 25th of November.
01:33Honorary Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Mennery Casey said a pre-trial hearing would be held on the 27th of October.
01:41Doyle was remanded in custody.
