US Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby has said that even though Washington provides weapons to Taiwan, American allies and partners need to take responsibility for their own defense. His remarks come after US lawmakers expressed concern about the country's weapon stocks running low with the war against Iran. The US announced an arms package worth over US$11 billion for Taiwan last December.
