00:02Hey, hey, hey, what's going on today, Moon Crew?
00:04Today, we are playing Star Trek The Promethean Prophecy.
00:08You know, I had such a great time playing Star Trek TNG Final Unity, I said to myself,
00:14ah, man, I'm going to have to play a few more Star Trek games and get them on speedrun.
00:18The moderator of the Star Trek series on speedrun is a guy named Sphere.
00:22He's actually really cool, he's very responsive, always been helpful in adding the games I've
00:28asked for, so a big shout out to him, we're going to be knocking out a couple games here.
00:32The Promethean Prophecy, actually, 1986, so somewhat late in the text adventure world,
00:39sequel to the Kobayashi Alternative, which is widely regarded as not very good.
00:45This one, much better. Truly, much better.
00:49It's the original team, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, and it's got, frankly, almost like a real episode
00:59story, and you know, that's pretty awesome.
01:04That's what Final Unity had, and we absolutely love that.
01:07So, we're going to be getting in here today, taking over, we're going to be getting shot
01:11out of space by a Romulan Warbird at the start, but it's going to be all adventure from there.
01:16So, here we go, team.
01:19Captain's Log, Stardate 3642.
01:22We have ventured beyond the charted boundaries of Federation territory, reducing our speed
01:26to sub-ort velocity in the Prometheus solar system near the Great Transstellar Rift.
01:30Our orders are straightforward.
01:32This is an exploratory mission.
01:34We are to seek out new life and make contact with new civilizations.
01:38The unknown Promethean world's wheel into view on the screen before me, gleaming spheres,
01:42circling endlessly in the darkness.
01:45After all these years, plants still look like toys to me, each one small enough to take into
01:50the palm of my hand, like the models hung from the ceiling in my room at the academy.
01:56At times like these, I find myself falling back on a single thought.
02:00A schoolboy's lesson, drilled into me at the academy with maddening regularity.
02:05A fundamental principle, with which I once hoped was no more than a killjoy guideline cooked
02:10up by some sour, earthbound Federation desk jockey, but which I have come to since respect
02:15as genuine wisdom.
02:17The Prime Directive.
02:18You can look all you like, but don't touch.
02:31.
02:35.
12:00Thank you,
15:36burrower shooting we got a quick burrower the trade seemed kind of mediocre but i think we're
