00:01A city centre bar in Wolverhampton has applied to extend its opening hours until 5.30 in the
00:07morning. Diffusion bar and restaurant in Exchange Street wants permission to sell
00:13alcohol until 5.15am and play live and recorded music until 5.30am each day. The venue currently
00:20closes at 3am. Its licence was suspended for two weeks last April after councillors found
00:25serious breaches, including serving alcohol after hours and failing to meet safety conditions.
00:32West Midlands Police supported that review at the time. The council's licensing committee will now
00:38consider the latest application in due course, following consultation with responsible authorities.
