TINY SQUIRREL BABIES DISCOVERED IN LOFT
WITH VID
BY LAKSHYARTHA SHARMA
Watch this astonishing clip where a homeowner renovating his 1930s English country house stumbles upon an unexpected and delicate discovery hidden in his loft.
Edward Turner, from Henbury, United Kingdom, recorded the moment he uncovered a tiny nest tucked away amongst the attic insulation. To his amazement, inside were five newborn squirrel babies, completely furless, eyes still closed, and believed to be no more than a day old.
The footage captures Edward’s mix of shock and awe as he carefully observes the fragile creatures, visibly surprised at finding them during what was supposed to be a routine home renovation. While clearly charmed by the tiny animals, he quickly realises the potential danger of allowing them to remain in the loft.
Squirrels are known for chewing through wiring and insulation, which can significantly damage property and, in some cases, increase the risk of house fires. The discovery leaves Edward facing a difficult balance between protecting wildlife and safeguarding his home.
Viewers were quick to weigh in on the situation.
One user commented: “If it’s squirrels you are seriously screwed! I love, love, love, squirrels! But, they are the number one cause of house fires, so those little guys & their mum & dad need to be evicted really fast! If you don’t, then you & your family are at risk. I promise, this warning comes from someone, just like you (a nature lover, living in the countryside) who has experienced the same heartbreaking problem. Get them out of your attic/roof space, and block all entries that prevent further issues. I wish you the best of luck.”
