00:00As war engulfs West Asia, India has stepped firmly into the diplomatic lane.
00:06Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
00:10and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
00:14The Indian Prime Minister positioned New Delhi as a voice for de-escalation
00:19as the conflict spirals across West Asia.
00:22In his call with Netanyahu, Prime Minister Modi conveyed India's deep concern
00:26over the rapidly worsening situation,
00:28while acknowledging Israel's security challenges, New Delhi drew a clear line.
00:33Civilian safety must remain paramount.
00:36India reiterated its call for an early secession of hostilities.
00:40Now this comes as the United States and Israel have expanded strikes deep inside Iran,
00:46targeting Revolutionary Guard infrastructure and Iran's retaliatory missile and drone campaign
00:52that now stretches across West Asia, including the UAE's Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
00:57and that's where Prime Minister Modi's second call becomes crucial.
01:02In his conversation with the UAE, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed,
01:06Prime Minister Modi strongly condemned the attacks on the Emirates
01:10and expressed condolences for the lives lost.
01:13The outreach wasn't just symbolic.
01:15Nearly 3.5 million Indians live and work in the UAE.
01:20This is among India's largest community anywhere in the world.
01:24It contributes about 20% of India's foreign remittances,
01:2911% of India's oil imports,
01:32and absorbs $39 billion of Indian exports.
01:35The Indian embassy has confirmed that one Indian national was injured in the attacks.
01:41The embassy says the person is out of danger,
01:43and that it is in touch with hospital authorities, rendering all possible assistance.
01:50Meanwhile, thousands of passengers, including Indians,
01:53remain stranded at Dubai International Airport.
01:55Among those stranded in Dubai is India's ace shuttler, P.V. Sindhu,
01:58who said authorities in the UAE are taking care of those affected,
02:03even as flight operations remain disrupted.
02:06The Prime Minister also thanked the UAE leadership for taking care of the Indian community,
02:10a significant reassurance at a time when drone strikes have hit strategic sites
02:15and disrupted civilian life.
02:18India's messaging across both calls has been consistent.
02:22De-escalation, regional peace, security and stability.
02:26Prior to his outreach to Israel and the UAE,
02:29Prime Minister Modi chaired a late-night meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security.
02:34This is India's highest decision-making body on national security and strategic affairs.
02:39The top-level meeting reviewed the rapidly evolving situation in West Asia,
02:43assessing its implications for India's security, energy supplies
02:47and the safety of Indian nationals in the region.
02:52For India, the war is not distant.
02:55It threatens the safety of millions of Indian citizens in the Gulf.
02:59As missiles fly across West Asia, New Delhi is leaning on diplomacy,
03:04urging restraint, protecting its people and walking a careful strategic tightrope.
03:12That's all for now. Thank you for joining us.

03:23Power doesn't end quietly.
03:27Some deaths are not accidents.
03:30They are messages.
03:32A gunshot.
03:34A crowd.
03:36A country frozen.
03:38The killer disappears.
03:40The questions don't.
03:42This is not just about who died.
03:45It's about what followed.
03:47Governments fell.
03:49Armies moved.
03:51History rewrote itself.
03:54Five leaders.
03:55Five moments.
03:58One pattern.
03:59The assassination.

04:13One pattern.
04:15One pattern.
