00:08guys may remember about a month or two ago there was a rumor that Marvel Studios may choose to
00:12split Avengers sequel wars into two films and according to some industry insiders that may
00:17have been predicated on how well Avengers doomsday does at the box office but during our coverage of
00:22that video and as we would subsequently find out logistically that would have been a nightmare you
00:26have to go ahead and make these decisions years in advance and while they're probably going to
00:29shoot more than enough principal photography for sequel wars when it finally begins it doesn't
00:35mean that you can just arbitrarily split whatever you have into two films and make the same quality
00:39as one and by the time we get the Avengers doomsday box office numbers it'll be too late to make
00:44that
00:44decision but part of the reason industry insiders were reporting on that in the first place was
00:49because of a huge shift potentially to Avengers doomsday and sequel wars production again spurring
00:54this idea that they might actually be looking to split into two films well it turns out at least
00:59half of that report was correct as there has now been a major major shift and coming from a trusted
01:04industry insider as to when they're starting on Avengers sequel wars it has a lot to do with
01:09doomsday as well as sequel wars release date we're breaking it all down this latest update what changed
01:14when they're actually starting and what it means for both films but first if you could grab the

01:34update and from one of the UK filming production sites that allows people to go find work on these huge
01:39film productions that they would be moving Avengers sequel wars filming back to the beginning of
01:43summer well according to industry insider Daniel RPK you guys can follow him over on twitter at
01:48RPK news he has apparently indicated they are now pushing the beginning start time of filming on
01:53Avengers sequel wars all the way back to August of this year 2026 now there is a good reason for
01:59this but on the grand scale of the production timeline does this mean anything for the Avengers
02:03films well maybe first they moved back going to filming earlier this year to the summer and now
02:09they're moving it back to late summer and the beginning of fall that mostly has to do with extending
02:14the pickups and reshoots for Avengers doomsday and allowing the Rousseau's enough time to be involved
02:20with the post and the editing before they have to be back on set and shooting for Avengers secret
02:25wars but if you've been keeping up with the production rumor mill and again according to
02:29that same film UK outlet that indicated they were first moving the secret wars production
02:34they're also set to start filming x-men this summer as well and when we were covering all of the
02:40negative
02:40reports over the last two or three years from major editorials and their industry insider quote
02:45unquote news about what was going on internally at Marvel Studios so many sources said the exact same
02:51thing about Kevin Feige's bandwidth and inability to quality control and be hands-on with a lot of
02:57the projects especially at Disney Plus which led to a less than quality right now from a bird's eye view
03:02it seems like Marvel Studios has the three biggest films they've had in a long time easily since
03:08Avengers Endgame and they are now trying to handle them shoot them and be in charge of them all at
03:13once
03:13and while the Rousseau's are rumored to be overseeing the mutant saga but allowing others to direct as
03:18they lead up to the next Avengers installments seven and eight you've got to imagine their hands are
03:23absolutely full with Avengers doomsday post-production pickup shots and beginning on secret wars there
03:29cannot be enough Rousseau's right now in the room for both of these Avengers movies let alone adding on
03:35whatever they may be adding as executive producers or helping with the x-men film that same exact thing
03:41goes for Kevin Feige so the fact that they've moved back sequel wars a couple of months and now a
03:46couple
03:46of more months that probably has to do with them just letting the timeline internally be liquid as
03:52they're dealing with the work that's in front of them that's why they gave themselves more than a year
03:57run-up for both films when usually the turnaround time for an Avengers film with this same team has
04:02been about a year obviously with Infinity War and Avengers Endgame they shot those movies concurrently
04:07mostly at the same time which took care a lot of that problem of which thing are we focusing on
04:12but right now they decided not to do that that was probably a lesson learned from that previous
04:17experience and really what it means as a whole is that they are just allowing themselves more time to
04:21focus on one thing at a time I think it's absolutely crazy they chose to film the x-men reboot
04:26at the same
04:27time they're in the middle of Avengers doomsday and secret wars which mean all three movies will have
04:31photography going this year but pushing it back ultimately a couple of months more still gives
04:37them almost a year and a half to shoot do pick up shots and turn around Avengers secret wars more
04:43than enough time so honestly right now they're reaping the benefits of having giving themselves
04:47the timeline that they are and Marvel Studios knows they've got to come right out of the gate
04:51with secret wars with something that actually makes an impact to keep the hype going that's why they've
04:56decided to add the x-men reboot to this year's shooting schedule especially in a year where
05:01this year they've only got two movies and at least right now next year we only have one
05:06now I've definitely already seen a couple of folks try to twist this and say this must mean
05:10Avengers doomsday is a mess but look at the internal reports right now for films like Captain America
05:15Brave New World Quantumania to some extent even Doctor Strange and Multiverse of Madness the internal
05:21reports about the reshoots and the rewritings to the script and how long things were taking movie by
05:26committee the things that maybe made those films end up less good than they could have been
05:31those were all reported alongside the reshoots this is a totally different situation everything
05:36we're hearing right now from inside Marvel Studios and from those industry insiders who have knowledge
05:41of the film say this movie is going to be an absolute banger so when you have those kind of
05:45reports going and then you hear they're moving around the production timeline a doesn't equal b in
05:49this case and I don't think one has to do anything with the other this is simply them in the
05:54moment
05:54looking at the calendar over the next six to eight months and making a little bit better sense of it
05:58saying hey let's just start this when this is done then let's move on to doing secret wars once
06:03you've got the post done for doomsday once x-men has started it gives Kevin Feige the same opportunity
06:08as the Rousseau's to have his bandwidth be better allocated in the moment for when things are
06:12starting and stopping I think there is no issue here I also think they have more than enough time
06:18with what looks like a full 16 or 17 months of turnaround time from the day they start shooting
06:22on secret wars to get that film done I don't think anybody who tries to turn this into more drama
06:27than it is will really have a leg to stand on but again given marvel's history you can see why
06:32some
06:32are going to say that in this case though it's all good you guys let me know all your thoughts
