00:21Here from Beijing, China has condemned the United States and Israel attacks on Iran,
00:28calling them a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
00:34The Chinese political bureau member and the foreign minister, Wang Yi,
00:40held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov,
00:47and noted at the request of both countries,
00:50the United Nations Security Council had an emergency meeting to address this situation.
00:57Wang warned that assassinating the leader of a sovereign nation and instigating a regime change
01:05is unacceptable and that these actions jeopardize the stability of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
01:14China made three clear demands.
01:17The first one, an immediate ceasefire of military operation,
01:23and the second, an urgent return to dialogue and negotiation,
01:27and the last one, an opposition of unilateral action without Security Council authorization.
01:35For his part, Lavrov agreed that the attacks serially undermined regional stability
01:42and expressed readiness to coordinate actions with China and the United Nations
01:49and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and demand an immediate ceasefire.
