00:00So I studied at Charlesthet University here in Wagga, not originally from Wagga, I moved from Barrow, so four hours
00:06from home, so it was a big, big thing, but definitely the best decision I've ever made. We did so
00:12many subjects, so many assessments, all your OSCIs, which are your practical skills. Awesome uni, absolutely loved it, we had
00:19a really good experience.
00:20I love people, as cliche as it sounds, I love helping people, being there for people, not only that, but
00:26then you get to understand why people are the way that they are, their history, you know, you remember their
00:33grandchildren, or their child, or what their son and daughter do, what they did growing up, it's a really good
00:39experience, and I just, you get to make a change ever since the day, you get to change a patient's
00:44trajectory, and it's rewarding.
00:48It feels pretty unreal, like it was a big process to get here, and I'm finally here, and I'm very
00:55excited for this journey.
00:57I've always wanted to do something like this, and starting at the aged care at 16, I've just always felt
01:04like I wanted to make a difference to somebody's life.
01:07I would advise new people studying to make good connections early on, because they're the people that will really help
01:13you through this, like if you're down, or, like, they're the people you talk to, because they're going through it
01:18too, especially if you make friends that are studying, so that would be my biggest thing, and if there's any
01:23more cadetships or internships, I would 100% recommend applying for them, because this has been such a supportive part
01:30of my journey, this hospital, and the cadetship.
