00:00:26overall better than season three okay we upped the bar okay just for now i think a lot of the

00:00:31choices she made for season three she took the notes she really said okay i'm gonna take this

00:00:37pile of shit and turn it into silver which honestly good for her it's better than bronze

00:00:43okay it's not diamonds not gold but it's silver so it's still better than shit i'm pretty happy

00:00:49with it i can't complain about this season so far it's not bad however so far i like it

00:00:59and i feel like that's a little bit controversial in itself i feel like you can't like something

00:01:04these days you either have to absolutely hate something or love it but to like something

00:01:09is a little rare i've seen reviews online already saying that this is one of the best seasons

00:01:13that it's the best since canthony i humbly disagree sorry sorry i'm not trying to be

00:01:20different i swear i'm not like sophie okay i am like other girls i am as much as i hated

00:01:25section of simon and daphne's plot i honestly really like their build more than this build what

00:01:31oh my god oh my god don't hate me please oh my god my cat literally jumped when i said

00:01:37i'm so sorry oh my god she hates me a lot of that does have to do with unfortunately the

00:01:47again i don't hate it i still think it's better than colin and penelope's but but i don't think

00:01:55it's as good as so many people are hyping it up to be and i have my reasons why this

00:02:01story here right we have the beautiful miss sophie absolute stunner oh my god 10 out of 10

00:02:15routine i know it's a stereotype but f**k sakes these asians they have the best skin okay she looks

00:02:56in this era when the women have to do so much work on themselves just to get married just to

00:03:07really care for him right but this season i have to humbly say fantastic job fine ass job making me

00:03:14like this man besides what ends up happening at the end of episode 4 which we'll talk about

00:03:19but wow what a refreshing glass of water this guy is comparison to a soda pop we were drinking with

00:03:26the last main character guy no this is good this is refreshing this feels like lemonade in comparison

00:03:31to that soda oh these debonair dudes with simon anthony we don't really talk about colin colin can be

00:03:39the minute maid colin was the minute maid juice box of the season

00:03:46ew benedict refreshing glass of lemonade because the way that he is actually not like other boys

00:03:56and how he's just this goofy guy he's kind of just a goofy guy and i love that i love

00:04:02that he isn't so

00:04:04mysterious and and brooding no he's actually just kind i appreciate his character that much more

00:04:10this season for it thank you thank you for finally giving us the male lead with quirky personality

00:04:15thanks thanks who's not just sulking in the distance so the leads are great however what is really

00:04:21bothering me that i realize i don't know if you guys have realized this but i realized it no one's

00:04:27really talking about it so i'm going to talk about sophie and his relationship feels significantly more

00:04:35different than how they first interacted just let that sink in for a second here meaning the way they

00:04:44are throughout the rest of the season when sophie's a maid in comparison to their first spark connection

00:04:52meet at the ball is such a different dynamic that i i didn't like it as much as their initial

00:05:02meet unfortunately to unpack it a bit more here we have sophie who is a maid love her doesn't deserve

00:05:09to be a maid okay this is truly a cinderella story where the mom is just like you i'm gonna

00:05:14take all

00:05:15the money your dad's dead i just also say oh i'm so happy to see miss cho chang cho chang

00:05:21what are they

00:05:22they gave her the most name in harry potter you know what i mean cho chang yeah cho chang

00:05:31the way jk rowling really we have cho chang from harry potter gorgeous she is agely fine white she

00:05:40plays stepmom step mommy step mother mother mamacita she's an absolute bitch but i don't know there's

00:05:49something about her that i just i want to like you truly because damn another face card that just

00:05:55eats they are not hungry because they be eating so just like cinderella sophie goes to this ball

00:06:01and it's really convenient guys because it's a masquerade ball so no one's gonna recognize her the

00:06:08thing with sophie is that she's gonna be not like other girls she's not like other girls you guys she's

00:06:14a

00:06:15maid so therefore she's there not to look for a husband but literally just for a night out which

00:06:20honestly sane honestly i respect the way that sophie is so relatable and it's the 1800s it's crazy i'm

00:06:27not here for a man i just want a night out can i just have a night out please if

00:06:32not here to dance with a guy i'm here to dance by myself thank you oh she catches the eye

00:06:39benedict bridgerton who is rake capital r rake remember we talked about this in my bridgerton video

00:06:46aka a whore how many people do you think benedict has slept with and then think about that number and

00:06:53then think about how many times he's probably contracted an std because no i'm being serious

00:06:58though because he there's no do you know i don't think they had stuff back then i don't think they

00:07:08the snake pillowcase back then they didn't have a blanket for his worm right i don't know how he

00:07:12wouldn't have contracted something at this point if i'm being freaking honest he's essentially the

00:07:18town unicycle because everybody has had a ride i'm just a little concerned with that fact

00:07:24and i am surprised that he hasn't gotten anyone pregnant at this point i would just really want

00:07:28to get him checked up before sophie before he enters sophie humbly and respectfully but because of

00:07:34this reputation because he's like this his mom's like listen you need to get a wife get your ass

00:07:41a wife right now and so he's just like hey well no mom bye i'm just gonna go draw some

00:07:47more penises on

00:07:48my board no but then he's obligated to come to this masquerade ball that his mom's hosting therefore

00:07:54he meets sophie and because he's a bridgerton right all the girls are like oh my god bridgerton

00:08:04you know everyone's thirsting it up over this tall glass of lemonade right here however sophie

00:08:10again she's not there for her husband she's there for her night out she's there for the girl so she's

00:08:14just admiring everything because truly this is like a fish seeing land for the first time

00:08:20right it's just all new it's brand new she looks around and she's amazed by everything and then this

00:08:25catches benedict's eye because he's like wow a girl is just appreciating my mom's chandelier

00:08:33let me introduce myself to her right now let me marry her right now if i'm being serious this moment

00:08:40was so cute i actually really like this moment i think they did that part really really well with

00:08:45the music and the way he was looking at her and it was just lingering on for that it was

00:08:51just beautiful

00:08:52i actually felt beauty from the way that they did that scene then he does officially introduce himself

00:08:59and then he tells him that she can't dance corbin blue i don't dance he's like okay well we can

00:09:07just

00:09:07go to my mom's garden and it's really private and cute and romantic so they go and this is where

00:09:14i was really feeling it and i was really looking forward to this relationship break their banter and

00:09:20chemistry throughout this whole first episode was selling me take my money take my money jess

00:09:27brunell wow this is great loving it they just go back and forth so well and sophie has such a

00:09:33charisma

00:09:33about her here she has this playfulness to her and she's not afraid she's very confident paul's been

00:09:39in it out for a bunch of things yeah do you try to focus the attention on other people so

00:09:45then they

00:09:46don't focus in on you she's just really cheeky and playful here with him right and so i i loved

00:09:52it i

00:09:53love the way that they were opening up to each other the way that she was flirty it was very

00:09:58flirty and

00:09:58then they end up dancing which is really romantic and then the clock strikes midnight she gotta get

00:10:05break out of there pumpkin pumpkin time pumpkin's calling her but then up before he was leaving a kiss

00:10:12if i'm being honest i was a little taken aback by but it's fine it's fine i just personally i'm

00:10:17the

00:10:17type of person that i don't like the physical contact until later on i just don't like physical

00:10:22intimacy in my tv shows until later on personally i like a build i'm a sucker for a build when

00:10:30it comes

00:10:30to the physical but i mean not to say never though i loved heated rivalry right and literally this in

00:10:35the

00:10:35first 18 minutes they had their sticks out they had more than their hockey sticks out this one it

00:10:40threw me off it's fine it's fine it's fine i just personally prefer it that way to give context simon

00:10:46and daphne didn't kiss until episode four yeah dude episode four and then kate and anthony didn't kiss

00:10:54until episode six and that was at the end of episode six so i like a build then let me

00:11:00know you guys if this

00:11:01was in the book or if jess brunell changed it because i'm kind of curious about that but it's

00:11:06just interesting that with jess's two seasons the kiss in my humble opinion happened sooner

00:11:12than than the first two seasons because penelope and collins happened i believe at the end of episode

00:11:18two and then now this one happened literally in episode one just just a little pick let me know

00:11:23book readers if this does happen in the book if they were supposed to kiss right here so then sophie

00:11:27leaves right and then we have a time passing time passing i'll get more towards sophie's story

00:11:36afterwards but i just want to focus on the romance and get to my point so time passes

00:11:41one thing leads to another sophie ends up at this random house and who knows how long it's passed i

00:11:47believe in the book it is actually supposed to be two years since they meet that time has passed i

00:11:53think

00:11:53in the show they make it just months potentially benedict's desperately looking for the girl in the

00:11:58silver dress that he met at the ball but obviously she's not from society he's not gonna look for a

00:12:04maid he doesn't know that sophie's a maid so with all the search unfortunately it ends up being moot

00:12:10and benedict's like okay well i guess i guess i gotta move on i guess because she's just not showing

00:12:16up

00:12:16ends up finding her working at a different house and actually saves her and her friends there's some

00:12:21harassment happening oh i just don't even want to talk about it it's just nasty it's nasty work

00:12:25men are pieces of she saves her and her friend from these disgusting men and this is when i don't

00:12:33understand and this is when please again book creators tell me if this was in there and tell me

00:12:39what the hell is going on in sophie's brain because we don't get that in the show we don't get

00:12:44her

00:12:45narration obviously we don't get her writing her diary or anything so we don't really know what's going

00:12:49on in sophie's brain i'm gonna talk about this more in the back half of the season because

00:12:53obviously this is explained but also to note here just so that it's not confused i'm not complaining

00:13:00about sophie's personality i understand how she would have been different during the ball considering

00:13:05that she's so absurdly happy this is a brand new experience for her and it's just magic to her so

00:13:11i

00:13:11totally get why her personality at the ball would be different from how she is in day-to-day life

00:13:16and

00:13:16understand that she has a struggle in her day-to-day life and why she wouldn't be as glowing and

00:13:22vibrant

00:13:22because she's been through a lot in her life and that's what i appreciate about her character and

00:13:27understanding her character it's just specifically her attitude towards benedict in this part that i

00:13:33was taking issue with but obviously that's explained in the back half of the season and i'll talk about

00:13:38in the back half of this video but yeah just to explain that a little bit more ever since this

00:13:43encounter

00:13:44that she sees him and he saves her and her friend then they go to his cottage i'm coming to

00:13:51the

00:13:51cottage and then they spend a lot of time there and then that's when they start falling in love that

00:13:56he starts falling for sophie as she is doesn't know that she's the woman in silver but ever since this

00:14:02point sophie treats him like a piece of shit sophie treats benedict like he's musty ass dirt water like

00:14:11he's oil like he's oil disturbing the earth and i don't get why the only conclusion i could come up

00:14:19with is that she's just trying to protect herself and her feelings and doesn't want herself to have

00:14:26feelings for him because he's of society and and in her head she thinks that they can never be

00:14:31together so she just finds it better and a defense mechanism to be not so nice to him

00:14:39because of that that's the only logical conclusion i can come up with and i feel like that that should

00:14:45be true right i feel like it makes sense however i don't like it i didn't actually really like this

00:14:51next part as much as i wanted to which is unfortunate because i really liked the setup

00:14:56of when they first met however because for whatever reason sophie switches up and is no longer this

00:15:03flirty bold confident playful girl like how she was at the ball she is now this quiet defensive

00:15:16almost i want to say rude standoffish maybe that's a better word for it standoffish

00:15:22girl towards benedict oh but why again tell me if my reason is right i'm sure there is a rationale

00:15:34and

00:15:34if she was this way in the books i get it you know it makes sense but it just really

00:15:39disappointed me

00:15:40because i loved that initial playfulness that she had with him and i love that confidence and and coy

00:15:47cheeky way that she had was speaking with him at the ball and she acts like he's a freaking villain

00:15:52when obviously he's not a freaking villain you know who this man is you know he's been searching

00:15:57for you at the very least i would have loved for her to be more cheeky flirty coy like how

00:16:03she was

00:16:04at the beginning and this is obviously not the actress's fault it's obviously the direction that she

00:16:09was given it was just so strange to me you guys and let me know your thoughts because with this

00:16:14this

00:16:14is when they actually do start falling for each other fully see how they fell but also not it's just

00:16:22strange because with the back and forth that they had at the beginning it just doesn't feel as smooth

00:16:29in these next two episodes unfortunately i'm sorry i'm so sorry they're having breakfast

00:16:37and he's just watching sophie eat this could have been a really fun playful bantry moment and where

00:16:43she's just like yeah do i have something and then he's just like yeah i've never seen someone so

00:16:47enthralled with eating and then she could have been like extra like we played it in his face but she

00:16:54instead acts all quiet and awkward about it gets also that they're probably trying to go for

00:17:00she grounds him right because benedict is all up in the air and just wants to do whatever the hell

00:17:06but sophie is the one that's gonna make him more responsible and grounded and teach him that whereas

00:17:13benedict in turn will teach sophie how to be more lighthearted and loosen up type of thing i get that

00:17:18dynamic that it feels like that's what they were going for in these next few episodes but

00:17:24i just wanted to be more playful it just wasn't as playful as the freaking beginning

00:17:30she's so reserved that kite scene too that was really cute it was cute i know what you guys thought

00:17:35because i i did i kept racking my brain of what felt so off to me with when they were

00:17:41supposed to be

00:17:41falling in love and that truly is it it's just how straightforward they're playing everything

00:17:45and not as she's not there that banter she's not there y'all are british british people have great

00:17:50banter let me caveat all of this by saying it's not bad right because again with colin and penelope

00:17:56with the friends to lovers and how much history they had botch at the very least these two are

00:18:01spending time together right at the very least we're seeing these two and how they're developing

00:18:06right so i appreciate that and i appreciate jess pernell focusing more on the main couple this season

00:18:11whereas we didn't really get that last season give props to that and that's why i like it

00:18:16and i like seeing that we do have quite a bit interactions between them positive would also be

00:18:21they do truly start getting to know each other without fully getting to know each other we've

00:18:26just scratched the surface which is funny because benedict himself even said that he wants to go

00:18:31deeper and not surface level but scratching the surface you know sophie's already appreciating his

00:18:37artwork and was talking about his art and that was a cute moment they were trying to teach each other

00:18:43french which was also pretty sweet so they have a couple cute and i did think the kite moment was

00:18:48cute but again had the potential for more i think that's that's a good way to explain it and then

00:18:54obviously yeah by episode four she's working for the family but by then their feelings for each other

00:19:01basically you know they're just undeniable because spoiler alert they kiss each other again

00:19:06and then in episode three he apologizes and they want to pretend like it never happened but then

00:19:11obviously it did happen and she's starting to work for the bridgerton household now which is fun but

00:19:15then now it feels like there's more tension because they know there's feelings there because they've

00:19:21kissed now and so they have a couple run-ins with each other and and she ties up his buttons

00:19:28and he can't

00:19:29play this button but it's like yeah you're gonna give me some puff pastry why don't i choose some of

00:19:34that puff pastry sophie's the one consuming him as he says later on however he gets the stupid ass idea

00:19:42to make her his mistress be my mistress

00:19:52what are you doing what are we doing here are you kidding benedict in what world did you really

00:20:00think that sophie was gonna go for that that sophie was gonna like that he has a friend that i

00:20:06guess

00:20:07yeah he's fallen in love with a lady that's not from society and so he tells benedict how that's

00:20:14his mistress but that he's so happy that at the very least he can be with the woman he loves

00:20:18as his mistress and so then because of this benedict's like

00:20:27stop dude are you kidding that's insulting actually sophie you know her now

00:20:33you know her treat her well treat her with some class please such single brain cell behavior it's

00:20:40it's painter mentality it's crayon drawing mentality eventually yeah in this episode they run into each

00:20:47other and they start macking it out start duking it out on the staircase which by the way this isn't

00:20:54the only bridgerton who's had a fun time on staircase if you guys remember you guys remember daphne was

00:21:00actually the first one then bridgerton's in their staircases poor sophie is gonna have to be cleaning

00:21:04out that mess as a maid she's gonna have to clean it all up they do that and it's really

00:21:09fun it's

00:21:10really really fun scene i really like that and benedict just puts his fingers in his mouth like

00:21:14an absolute menace sir did you sanitize where have you been where have those fingers been sometimes

00:21:22people do things like that are you are you clean though it's back then right so i didn't think they

00:21:30have hand sanitizer did you wash your hands because did you clip your fingernails because

00:21:37no but it was good it was a good scene it's hot spicy and then it was just like you

00:21:45consume

00:21:45all of my thoughts and you deserve more sophie will you be my mistress

00:21:53oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh absolute yeah i'll go back to mopping now let me mop this

00:22:05benedict let me go for my walk let me go meet the people at the tavern okay that is insulting

00:22:11sophie

00:22:12rightfully so walks away and she looks dumbfounded did that really just happen and i really hope

00:22:19she respects i think she does i think i saw in the previews for part two that she's gonna be

00:22:23now i don't want to be no mistress are you kidding me i'm queen i'm okay and yes you are

00:22:27sophie

00:22:28remember that that's where we leave their love story and that is basically my thoughts of their love story

00:22:34thus far i feel like they need to go deeper because there's also some moments i realize that benedict or

00:22:40her are about to say something that could be deep and then and then they don't and they don't follow

00:22:45through benedict's literally oh remember when i said that sometimes i feel out of place and sophie's

00:22:51like yeah yeah and he goes actually forget about it and then they don't talk about it can you guys

00:22:58talk can you guys finish sentences please i'm hoping in the next part they go deeper because that's

00:23:04literally what they were talking about at the ball basically all my thoughts for how they are so far

00:23:09let me know though because again i feel like you guys are gonna hate me i know there's so

00:23:12many people who love them already and i do think they're cute i do like them i like how much

00:23:17time

00:23:18we have spent with them i feel like it's been a good amount of time we've spent with them thank

00:23:21god

00:23:21as opposed to last season so it's it's good i'm enjoying it don't get me wrong i'm enjoying it it's

00:23:29just those are the reasons why it's not my favorite and then in terms of the rest right i'm gonna

00:23:33keep it

00:23:33brief again because i want the next part for me to fully go over my thoughts on everything but i'm

00:23:39also gonna say lolomi right lolomi who was adding okay i was coming at jess brownell's ass when it

00:23:49came to the sidewalks last season right this flop can just say what's her name dress brownell just

00:23:56ruined these are useless this is a waste of my time we should be focusing more on the main couple

00:24:01i

00:24:02don't even like these sidewalks i came at her right hot throat that couldn't recover from my commentary

00:24:08but she has but actually she has though and i'm so impressed i think she heard my words you guys

00:24:15i really got to her i think my critique really stuck and that's why she made the changes that she

00:24:22did for this season my specific critique all seriousness i'm actually very impressed with what

00:24:26she's done with the side plus this season because a they're not taking up an absurd amount of time

00:24:31like how they did last season and b they're actually kind of good i think you need to get mentally

00:24:41evaluated

00:24:41what is that me am i complimenting the side plots right now really wow i'm actually amazed no truly

00:24:49i have to be humble and say i'm amazed that i actually like the side plus this season for one

00:24:54the mondrakes right again i don't hate these people can i just say i really don't and they're beautiful

00:25:00people can i just say as well both the castings of both of them gorgeous they're hot they're hot but

00:25:06they just don't give them anything interesting to do if they gave them something interesting that'd be

00:25:10great this season they managed to put them more to the side which i'm fine with but also give mrs

00:25:16mondrig some purpose with potentially being the queen's next lady-in-waiting which i like that this

00:25:23is good because it also ties in with the queen and lady danbury which i have heard some people complain

00:25:28about that plot line which i don't disagree but i actually do kind of like it because it's showing

00:25:34more of that friendship between the two and that power dynamic it is going on a bit too long i

00:25:39feel but i like it still and it goes to show too that the queen is human and humanizing her

00:25:46even more

00:25:47and reminding us of what we loved about queen charlotte which was her relationship with

00:25:51george and their build up from that show she's getting more worried about losing him now and with

00:25:57that that's why she's trying to keep lady danbury it's it's interesting then we have francesca

00:26:02and as much as again i personally wish they didn't make her so insta love with michaela i wish they

00:26:09made it that it was whatever and so then when their season comes bam something that was always

00:26:15in front of your face and you didn't realize it that's great that would have been so great but

00:26:19whatever i just i don't like how they hammed up that cheesiness of francesca's already in love with her

00:26:24apparently but besides that i like francesca's plot line so far with michael i think that's great

00:26:32i think it obviously makes sense for what's to come in her season and what's not coming right

00:26:36now in this season she hasn't reached her pinnacle i like that exploration i thought

00:26:41that that was interesting because not even with her potentially being fully lesbian it is normal for a

00:26:46girl to me a little more care a little more tender loving in order to reach a pinnacle it's

00:26:52a little harder i think that's fair to say so i thought that was great oh can we give snaps

00:26:59to

00:26:59our mother the mother of mother she is the tea you got i'm so happy that she got her mans

00:27:08oh my god

00:27:09i thought it was annoying last season simply because they weren't doing anything it was a cute

00:27:16build but there was something about it last season that i just didn't care for it but this season now

00:27:21with her also trying to rediscover herself and her being nervous about it because it's been years and

00:27:28that also being a very real human thing it felt so relatable and i love the way they did that

00:27:35storyline

00:27:36where she was nervous about it she's trying to build herself up to it and then she finally did

00:27:39it it's great it's great you got your beautiful man girl oh he's done me fine go get your biscuit

00:27:46with that tea girl and then i am really loving the eloise dynamic as well this season more so with

00:27:53forgive me because i forget how you say her name hyacinth hyacinth i love it because hyacinth is so

00:27:58keen on being married and having all of the ladylike things she loves the whole societal thing

00:28:05of what it is to be a lady she loves it but then eloise hates it right and i love

00:28:11that dynamic and

00:28:13showing that i understand in eloise's case where i feel for her in the sense of you know you shouldn't

00:28:18be pressured into wanting something just because everybody else is telling you to so i agree with

00:28:23her there and i do feel bad that it seems like no one's really accepting of her wanting to be

00:28:29a spinster

00:28:30and never wanting to be married but i also see the counter argument where she's too hateful towards

00:28:35it though in the sense of okay well her other friends are happy being married and and want to be

00:28:41part of that society life but then she dogs on them for it she's more hateful towards it and will

00:28:47have

00:28:47these snarky comments towards them about it whereas she's not happy for them either society could do her

00:28:53better in wanting to be single and alone but then she could also be doing society better and her

00:28:59friends and family better that if they want that for themselves and don't judge them for that either

00:29:04right in turn so it's an interesting one but i like that she did get called out by hyacinth because

00:29:11it's true hyacinth isn't saying anything rude about eloise as far as i can remember she doesn't say anything

00:29:17mean towards her but yet anytime eloise is around hyacinth and hyacinth is excited about the lessons

00:29:24and all that stuff she's always making these snarky remarks and just not about it and then finally

00:29:29hyacinth calls her well i think you're just more about yourself at first i thought you were just hating

00:29:34him but now i just think you're maybe just more self-involved and you're just not thinking about other

00:29:39people oh man if daphne was here right if daphne was here oh hyacinth would be thriving with daphne

00:29:47already be daphne she's not dead but like she's never gonna come back obviously i'm excited for

00:29:52her season though overall i think her season would be great i'm really excited i'm a sucker for the

00:29:58pessimist that doesn't believe in romance until i finally have romance so yeah can i also say with

00:30:04penelope i think we can all agree that was just such a mistake to make everyone know that she's

00:31:17and then she could just be gossiping with the queen but then nobody else knows obviously anytime we get

00:31:23whistled down this season it's been for benedict because he's looking for sophie

00:31:29but that's it we're not really getting whistled down as the gossip i'll listen to all this tea i

00:31:34mean i guess she did talk about the maids oh i do really like the maids being spotlighted too

00:31:40oh with the featheringtons made too oh i do like that too and how they don't appreciate her oh my

00:31:46i felt that too she's been through a lot with you bitches and all you can give her is raggedy

00:31:52bye bye it feels like she doesn't have as much of a presence this season and i fear that that's

00:33:24but kindness but the initial of it came as she admits in the second half to say that is because

00:33:32he didn't

00:33:32recognize her and that didn't even cross my mind which is insane because it's like oh i never really

00:33:39thought about her being annoyed at the fact that he didn't know who she was he's like have we met

00:33:44before have we met before my young mom mom so that's cool let me just look like a freaking idiot

00:34:30her and being frustrated because it's society it's it's society and she's like i can't be your mistress

00:34:37i have too much respect for myself which yes sophie yes have that class have that pride have that

00:34:43self-esteem thank you i don't care if you're a maid i don't care where you came from you're your

00:34:47own

00:34:48person love yourself benedict does agree with this but again society is society is thinking

00:34:55pardon me benedict is still thinking he didn't have pea brain mentality for asking sophie to be his

00:35:01mistress when in actuality yeah benedict what are you doing you're absolutely an idiot for thinking

00:35:07that even mr mondrake which i don't really care about the mondrakes as you guys know but he's making

00:35:13some sense right here i'm like thank you thank you he says no one no person wants to feel cast

00:35:20he is tom hanks and sophie is she's being let go in the ocean right now and it's not good

00:35:31he does start to think thank you they have this ball and then he realizes okay what can i really

00:37:45about boiling crabs for dinner what about box they're being super cute though i'm really happy

00:37:50about it i'm really loving their love in this episode it's so adorable like i said he puts his

00:37:55art skills to use i mean he was painting her before so that is abuse but oh and then also

00:38:01did pass that but in the last episode sophie did see some of the paintings and drawings he did of

00:38:07her as

00:38:08the lady in silver and she was asking him about the lady in silver i'm like do you not find

00:38:12adorable sophie you know he was in love with you before and in love with you now he loves all

00:38:17versions of you girl i like that she found those but anyway yeah he puts his art to mortgage use

00:38:21and draws a mistake for them to live in that's like an expansion of the cottage

00:38:28no stop that's actually so romantic you guys i love that you know it would have been really cheesy but

00:38:34also i would eat it up if he would have done a titanic moment of painting like one of your

00:38:40french

00:38:40girls would it not i feel like they should have had a fun paint session i think that would have

00:39:40be proud of i don't know why you guys it was such a oh ew am i tearing up already

00:39:49this sucks it's such

00:39:50a simple line but honestly that was so beautiful i agree i agree am i freaking out too much about

00:39:58i don't know i don't know you guys it just resonated with me and afterwards sophie opens up to him

00:40:03about where she came from and her background and how she's an illegitimate child and that she's scared

00:40:08of them having illegitimate children because she's been cast out from society she's had a terrible life

00:40:13growing up and she doesn't want that for their kids which is completely fair completely valid

00:40:19concern benedict's like well you got a point but i don't care does it matter that i love you

00:40:27and i won't cast them out of society i'm gonna be there for them i'm gonna love them then

00:40:31lo and behold big brother anthony bridgerton comes back into town yes we barely get him and kate but

00:40:41it's fine i'll take the crumbs i'll take the crumbs you guys they have the cutest baby ever can i

00:40:47can i also ask whose baby is this whose baby is this one of the most adorable babies i've ever

00:40:53seen in my

00:40:53life where did they find this fetus but yeah anthony comes and just is absolutely on par with his

00:40:59character they absolutely made his reaction exactly what it would be for his character and i'm happy

00:41:04that they continuitied that continuitied continuitied that because anthony comes in as the older big

00:41:11brother who takes care of everybody and is all about responsibility he's like benedict are you stupid

00:41:16sophie is not it sophie is not it remember when i did my thing with the opera girl that she's

00:41:22not

00:41:22a proper lady of society yeah i thought i was in love with her too but it turns out i

00:41:27wasn't if i can

00:41:28find kate you can find someone other than sophie and then it's like okay well no maybe you felt like

00:41:33you were in love with the opera girl but maybe you weren't really and this is something that i've never

00:41:37felt in my life so back off back off your freaking beard but i liked that i thought that that

00:41:45was such

00:41:46a perfect interaction and exactly how i thought anthony would take it i am happy spoiler alert that

00:41:52later down the line he says never listen to me again he berates him multiple times this episode

00:41:57until finally one of the times that he berates him for sophie is when sophie is overhearing and she

00:42:04overhears him specifically saying that no you are tripping out if you think that your kids are

00:42:09going to be fine you guys have kids they are going to be casted away there's no way that they're

00:42:14going

00:42:14to be able to enter society that's the life that you want to give to them that's what you want

00:42:18to bring

00:42:18a child into this world for that's a harsh reality anthony you are seeing points right now but also it's

00:42:26it sucks because sophie overhears this she then obviously realizes yeah it's just not gonna work so then

00:42:33she breaks it off with benedict it's so sad it's so sad because he looked like he was gonna cry

00:42:37he

00:42:37was shaking he was shaking did you guys notice that it was so sad so she aims to leave however

00:42:43which we'll get into we will totally get into it don't even worry john dies francesca's husband so

00:42:55then because of this horrible tragedy sophie obviously stays in this time of need

00:42:59stays as the maid so that she can help all of the bridgerton family get through this terrible time

00:43:04and she is actually very helpful especially with francesca i love the scene with her and francesca

00:43:10she stays and benedict is just a big bald mess and we get the ending of this episode which was

00:43:16crazy

00:43:16this whole episode too sophie lost her mother's necklace finally by the end of the episode benedict finds it

00:43:23on the floor of the room that they were banging in and he looks at it and he looks at

00:43:29it and then

00:43:30he realizes that is the same pendant of the girl in the silver dress and that selfie is the girl

00:43:41in the

00:43:42silver dress oh you guys the way i got chills i actually got chills when he realized this then also

00:43:49all the climax of this episode it's in this panic mode because sophie while she's going to leave

00:43:56she gets intersected by freaking amarinta is that her name oh i always get it wrong it's amarinta or

00:44:03something like her evil stepmom claims that she stole the shoe clippings or whatever and impersonated

00:44:11someone of nobility and has her arrested you did not need to do that you actually didn't even need

00:44:20to do that you already know that you've done this girl dirty you already know you've been stealing from

00:44:25her dowry so so this is when i really realized that amarinta is actually evil i was hoping that she

00:44:34would

00:44:34have maybe a sliver of redemption to her and we'll talk more about it we'll talk more i didn't really

00:44:40talk about the whole family situation in the first half of the video but i will i will talk about

00:44:44it

00:44:44but goodness sakes no she actually was freaking rude now she has her locked away in jail but then

00:44:50benedict's running outside to her he's like sophie sophie ah we got the last episode and it's

00:44:58i really want to give mama virgin her own section and i am but i have to give context what

00:45:05happened so

00:45:06sophie is in jail and then they're having her trial and then mama bridgerton with benedict come in and

00:45:13interrupt the trial and then sophie then sophie through and through and i'm like yes it was so

00:45:18good it was so good but mama bridgerton oh my god the way she ate down the season but this

00:45:24part alone i

00:45:25was like i love you i love you not just her obviously it was benedict too and then the case

00:45:30is dismissed for now

00:45:32and sophie is able to be in the bridgerton's care and so then her and benedict finally confront each

00:45:38other he admits uh he knows now that she's the lady in silver and she's just like oh well i

00:45:43didn't want

00:45:43you to be disappointed and he's like are you are you kidding i'm thrilled the woman i fell in love

00:45:48with

00:45:49way back when is the same woman i'm in love with now are you kidding two and two equals four

00:45:54it's great

00:45:54for me they have their bubble but before that too this is where she admits that i hated you at

00:46:00first

00:46:00because you didn't know who i was you couldn't tell that that was me you really didn't know that that

00:46:06was me i don't really blame her actually then they start talking about how sophie wasn't left with

00:46:11anything because emerinta said that her father left her with nothing and then benedict is the one that

00:46:16points it out to sophie um and you trust her and you're sure that you weren't left with anything

00:46:22you saw this will yourself and you're gonna trust her word all these years that's what you're gonna

00:46:28do and you know she hates you they have their bubble not really getting cleanly there why don't you guys

00:46:33just go dirty up the bath water that much more there's gonna be nothing left in that bar so i'm

00:46:38telling you that right now after all of this they have plan number one to go steal the will see

00:46:45what's

00:46:46in the will to see if there's anything in there that gets sophie her freedom however it turns out

00:46:51yeah she does get a big dowry from her will yeah she is getting taken care of but that still

00:46:56doesn't

00:46:56solve the problem that she's illegitimate she's illegitimate they have another plan b to talk to

00:47:03the queen and see if the queen with her power can essentially say that yeah maids and men of nobility

00:47:10can be together but no she's just like no so then what do they do plan c plan c which

00:47:15comes from mrs

00:47:17mondrake okay which i will talk about her separately because i think there's an obvious theory am i the

00:47:24only one that thinks it's obvious we have her come up with the plan and i guess i guess it

00:47:29was her that

00:47:29came up with the plan of getting the queen to accept sophie as the noble woman of a noble man

00:47:37who is the

00:47:38cousin of her father and that lady penwood agrees to this because if she doesn't agree to this then

00:47:44they're going to expose her for the fraud that she's done and for all the money that she stole

00:47:47from sophie all these years so it's either go to jail lady penwood or allow this to happen allow

00:47:53sophie to be a noble woman a woman of name sign off on it and then you can go on

00:47:58your merry way and

00:47:59then sophie can go on her merry way to marrying benedict i believe that was mrs mondrake's plan

00:48:05i think actually i'm a little iffy on it because it seemed like it was more benedict than his mom

00:48:09but whatever we get our happy happy ending sophie and benedict finally get to dance benedict gets to

00:48:16propose and it's so beautiful i love the way they did this too can i say it's so romantic they

00:48:22do this

00:48:22shot where they zoom in on them and they shed spotlight on them the rest of the room is dark

00:48:28and it's slow as if time has stopped and it's just it's so beautiful i love that shot he proposes

00:48:34to her

00:48:34and we get a prologue a prologue scene of their wedding which i'm happy with because i thought

00:48:42it ended way too soon overall when it comes to their story i think i still remain true to my

00:48:48earlier

00:48:48thoughts in the sense that their actual build i still i i appreciate that there's explanation for

00:48:56why sophie was cool towards him i do and it makes me more thoughtful towards how she was towards him

00:49:03at least there's reason for it but i still stand by that i i would have preferred personally

00:49:09something different for their build up and not saying that it was a bad build up it was definitely

00:49:14again better than last season better than colin and penelope because at the very least i felt their

00:49:19build and there was enough time spent on them here so i think it was a very very much just

00:49:24solid

00:49:24improvement from last season overall on all levels we'll talk about the other side plots too but

00:49:31with the romance yes they had wonderful chemistry i think they amped it up that much more in the

00:49:37second half of the season i felt that romance i felt the passion i felt their love sophie felt him

00:49:44inside hers i really did love how deep they went for the second half and i really felt how emotional

00:49:50it was for the second half so i loved that yeah that's just it i just wish the build was

00:49:55a bit different

00:49:56it's just me i think it's just a personal preference kind of thing because if other people loved it then

00:50:00i

00:50:00don't blame you at all but overall i did really like their romance now going over the other things

00:50:05because a lot happened this season oh my god okay going over the big thing yeah francesca and john

00:50:11and his death who i didn't think they were gonna do it this season did you guys think that i

00:50:17thought

00:50:17at least one more season one more season of john they're gonna allude to him being sick this season but

00:50:23it's not gonna come to fruition until next season but no no they just said yeah we're done with this

00:50:29actor now i'm just curious about that choice because maybe you guys tell me book readers of how this went

00:50:36down in the books but to me then that would make sense for francesca's storyline to be the next season

00:50:44but i was so dead set on eloise's being the next season and i stand by that i think it

00:50:51should be

00:50:51because truly that actress has been around since season one eloise's actress and this new actress

00:50:57for francesca she's only been around since season three and so for me i personally think just for the

00:51:02sake of fairness i think because this actress has been around longer and this is now going to be able

00:51:11to

00:51:11shed the spotlight more so on that actress i think eloise deserves to have that spotlight i'm still

00:51:17looking forward to francesca's i'm still looking forward to it don't get me wrong i just i'm like

00:51:21you haven't been around long enough sorry but to go over more with the whole her and michaela thing

00:51:27i actually i don't know if i can say they fixed it but i feel like they kind of fixed

00:51:34it let me know

00:51:36your guys's thoughts and when i say fixed it i mean in the sense of the whole insta love thing

00:51:41because

00:51:41that was one of my biggest gripes in the first half of the season and at the end of last

00:51:45season

00:51:46is that i felt that it was too instant love i feel like they fixed it a bit more for

00:51:51this back half of

00:51:52season four because they have that whole argument where francesca is essentially saying you're that

00:51:58constant reminder of how much of a failure i am right now as a wife and how good you are

00:52:03at pleasing

00:52:04people like make john laugh and everything and i get jealous of that because i can't even make john

00:52:09laugh like that so she has her anger towards michaela more so be about how she makes her feel

00:52:15inadequate which is interesting because i didn't think it was going that way and then they talk it

00:52:21out and then they become friends and then they're friends and so for me i thought okay that seems

00:52:26better i like this better because now it feels like it's gonna be less insta love because now they're

00:52:34just getting to know each other as friends and it feels like the whole weirdness she had towards

00:52:38michaela was more so because of how inadequate she feels around her and not so much insta love but

00:52:45it's still like a weird almost insta love kind of thing but i think it's at least somewhat fixed and

00:52:50i appreciate that i appreciate it it feels more natural wow good good work jesper now and it was so

00:52:57sad oh my god that one shot and he just watches them that they're getting along and happy together

00:53:03michaela and francesca before he goes to bed it's just it was just such a sad last shot

00:53:10side note do you guys think john knew that michael is gay do you guys think he knew that i

00:53:16knew that because a she says to francesca that he's one of the only people in the world that makes

00:53:22her

00:53:22feel comfortable i think she said i forget the exact words but essentially that he's one of the

00:53:27only people in the world that understands her and the whole suitor thing that john told francesca

00:53:33initially no no don't introduce her to any suitors i don't think she's gonna like that okay she wants

00:53:39to be a spinster and that's her choice and then when francesca does do it and goes against john's wishes

00:53:44he gets pretty upset about it and it's like i told you not to do it she's like i didn't

00:53:50think there was

00:53:50any kind he's like that's not the point and you see he seems actually bothered by it so to me

00:53:56feel like he knew this makes me love john that much more i've seen people think that michael is

00:54:00annoying i actually didn't find her annoying i actually thought the way she speaks was similar

00:54:06to emerald fennel in the crown i don't know i didn't mind her but i don't know i've seen some

00:54:12people complain about her personality and they don't really like her personality so i don't know let

00:54:17me know your thoughts on michael overall oh yeah and then and then fran asks her to stay

00:54:22and then she just freaking goes and then also snaps to what's her name hannah the actress that plays

00:54:28francesca she did absolutely amazing oh my god her emotions her emotions and her mourning for john it

00:54:37was just oh oh have to give her praise that was a lot what an actress what a talent mama

00:54:44okay i loved that development lots of development this season mama bridgerton her whole thing i loved

00:54:51how mother she was with sophie and that when she started to suspect that benedict is in love with

00:54:57sophie she was digging into it to see okay maybe she is someone of nobility maybe there's more to it

00:55:02than meets the eye and she started digging around with the maids and everything and the gossip but

00:55:07yeah it turns out that she's not of nobility but she still tried to protect her but even with trying

00:55:13to

00:55:13protect her again with society she's like i'm sorry i'm sorry i do wish things were different i

00:55:19really like you i wish you weren't a freaking maid i get it that's just the way things were i

00:55:24don't blame

00:55:25mama bridgerton for that to be honest but what i can say and please let me know your thoughts on

00:55:29this

00:55:30i actually did appreciate benedict's clapback at the mom because he says something along the lines of

00:55:40i am tired of your judgment when you're the one that's sleeping with an unmarried man with you

00:55:44yourself being unmarried under our households your kids being next door ooh no because he kind of clocked

00:55:51her no because he kind of ate with that because the whole reason he says it isn't judging her it's

00:55:58him saying that she's being hypocritical judging him and being in his business telling him what to do

00:56:03when she's out doing this when he's like listen i'm not saying anything about it i don't care but

00:56:09you saying this about me and judging me with sophie is hypocritical because here you are doing an

00:56:15improper thing yourself was his point so i liked it also he called her oh the hypocrisy and that

00:56:22that hey you're always telling us to find a love match and you're always going on and on about how

00:56:28we

00:56:28should be with the person we're in love with and here i am with someone that i love and yet

00:56:34because

00:56:34she's not of society it's not good enough for you now all of a sudden love isn't good enough i

00:56:39that was also a really good point ooh he made a lot of good points to mom appreciative and she

00:56:44learns and grows and was also saying hey unfortunately because that's how society is you're gonna have to

00:56:51get casted out and it's gonna be a big decision for you and i'm gonna miss you so much but

00:56:56if she's truly what

00:56:56makes you happy and if she's who you love then i won't stop you i can't stop you i didn't

00:57:01know that

00:57:02you loved her so oh so good then they come up with their plan they help sophie out mama bridgerton

00:57:10gets sophie out of jail oh she really came through she really came through and then mama bridgerton also

00:57:16making the executive decision to not get married because she is still discovering herself she's entering

00:57:23a new phase in her life love that sad as it is that she didn't get her man and that

00:57:27he seems to be at odds

00:57:29with her now because he really wanted to marry her and her saying no was essentially him being like

00:57:33okay well bye he doesn't want to be her chew toy which is fair it's fair for him but it

00:57:40still sucks

00:57:40because they are actually really cute together and they are really hot together but i also really

00:57:44appreciate mom and bridgerton for making that decision for herself then we also have eloise

00:57:48eloise's development is beautiful that's why i really want it to be her i'm like what else can

00:57:53you do with eloise's character if it's not her season next she's gone through so much we had four

00:57:59seasons of her hating men hating marriage hating all of it finally this season she has broken through

00:58:06and she has made that development an executive decision to not hate on marriage and not hate on love

00:58:12doesn't mean she wants it for herself but she's not going to be spiteful anymore if other people have it

00:58:17and

00:58:18other people are happy with it you know she's not going to be making those jabs anymore which is

00:58:21good she understands now that you can be happy with that and isn't bitter about it so love that i

00:58:28love how she was trying to make up with hyacinth the whole time she was doing a lot for her

00:58:32she let

00:58:33her go to the ball which was really sweet she ends up talking with cressida they end up having a

00:58:38talk

00:58:39to just so much development for her so i'm like it's gotta it's gotta be eloise's season next then

00:58:46with whistle down okay penelope aka who i think the next whistle down is spoiler alert i'm happy that

00:58:54they did acknowledge how dumb this is now it doesn't work it doesn't work anymore because everybody knows

00:59:01that it's her and i'm happy they actually acknowledge that they actually know that i was

00:59:06complaining about it for the first back of the season i'm like what a dumb decision that they made

00:59:11to make penelope known because now it's just not gonna work now everybody knows who she is so

01:01:29crazy because that's a main part of sophie's storyline so we did get way back when the flashbacks

01:01:35i'm happy we finally got those flashbacks right oh my god i was so missing that last season

01:01:40and it was so sad seeing sophie growing up and the dad just permitting her to grow up in that

01:01:48and again it just makes it that much more real that when sophie and benedict are talking about

01:01:52future kids that that's why it's so real to her and that's why she's so off-put by what their

01:01:58future

01:01:58looks like if they weren't married because that's what exactly happened to her was her life and she

01:02:03doesn't want that for her kids so oh that was a sad backstory but as soon as lady penwood said

01:02:09her dad didn't leave her or anything i'm like that is absolute bull i love posy love posy oh my

01:02:34reason and then she's the one that ends up falling in love and finding love and probably saving the

01:02:39penwoods and so i'm so happy i love posy i love her i think she deserves all the happiness in

01:02:45world i think she is getting it it looks like with her love match so i'm just happy i forget

01:02:51one's name i'm not even gonna bother looking it up because she was so mean she doesn't deserve it

01:02:56great actress obviously beautiful actress obviously but the character terrible and then lady penwood

01:03:03like i said i really wanted to feel for her in a way i still could understand her that she

01:03:11her story how she fell in love her husband died and then she had to do for herself like how

01:03:17have to do in this society and went looking for another guy appropriate man was able to find one

01:03:24and fall in love with him but then he shocks her with this kid springs up this kid which yeah

01:03:29was bad on him i really don't appreciate sophie's dad for that so obviously she wasn't too pleased with

01:03:36that because she thought that her and her daughters were going to get taken care of and that there was

01:03:41not going to be anything else in the way of that and seeing this little illegitimate girl right here

01:03:46is like hey well that was not in the plan that was not in the deal but i guess i

01:03:49have to put up with it

01:03:50because i'm married with you now i get it in that sense but it still doesn't excuse her hating on

01:03:54sophie

01:03:55and it still doesn't excuse her stealing from an innocent girl from a girl who hasn't done you

01:04:00any wrong personally she just existed you're just insulted by her being born so that is not sophie's

01:04:08fault her taking it out on sophie all these years her stealing her money it's just it's not excusable

01:04:13then her to go that much further that now that sophie's gone and doing what she can for herself

01:04:18she's still on this vendetta because she's seducing mr bridgerton when he should be

01:04:24her daughter's husband and stealing the shoe clips like all of these things that it's just

01:04:30it's just unnecessary you don't have to be out doing this sophie is not your problem anymore you've

01:04:35already done enough and harmed this girl enough that she's not supposed to be a maid you're not

01:04:40supposed to be stealing her money and yet this is how you still repay her you're still doing all this

01:04:45not she did too much she actually was a true villain and not the corny kind like how cressida

01:04:50was last season no offense to cressida i do actually appreciate that she came back and we see her happy

01:04:57with a love match but yeah she was kind of a cheesy villain last season whereas araminta actually felt

01:05:02like a villain like she she felt scary i was scared you guys queen obviously we love the queen and

01:07:17maybe they didn't want to traumatize you guys overall an emotional roller coaster of a season

01:07:22you guys tell me all of your thoughts overall again i will say that i like the season way better

01:07:28than last season i think they made huge improvements i'm happy with how they developed characters i'm happy

01:07:34with the side plots they actually ended up being plots to care about and not just thrown in there for

01:07:41sake of it but actually well developed side plots so i so appreciate that the romance was good

01:07:49overall i would say that i'm pretty happy with it yeah i would actually watch it again yeah i've told

01:07:54my mom about it because she loves she's a sucker for a cinderella story so i'm like well we can

01:07:58it together we'll just skip the horny parts overall i am very pleased with the season i would give it
