00:00Tom, let's go over to the Chicago Cubs, one of the teams always on that list.
00:03Ballpark they play and wind's blowing out, and I love the lineup.
00:06I do.
00:06I bet a lot of Cubs baseball this year.
00:08Bush Bregg, now Breggman comes over there.
00:10Hap, Suzuki, PCA, Horner, Swanson, Ballesteros, and Kelly.
00:14As fun a lineup as you're going to get, Tom, power with the first five to six guys in that
00:18lineup.
00:18This is going to be a team to watch this season, and that lineup should be able to hit it
00:21Wrigley.
00:23They really check all the boxes that we want.
00:25You know, obviously in the beginning of the season when it's super cold
00:27and there's wind blowing in in the middle of April or whatever, Wrigley Field's not great.
00:31We know that.
00:32But once we start to turn to get to the middle of May and the weather heats up,
00:36we get the wind blowing out, the ball is flying there,
00:39and we know what the winds can do at Wrigley.
00:40And like you said, the top six of that lineup is legit good, has power.
00:45They have, you know, HRR markets.
00:47PCA was a great option last year, and adding Breggman to that is fantastic.
00:51I think his power will take a step back compared to playing at Fenway last year,
00:54but it's still an awesome lineup top to bottom.
00:57It is.
00:57You take a look at the pitching staff, too.
00:59Serviceable is probably the best word you can use.
01:01Matthew Boyd, you got Cabrera, Horton, Imanaga, and also Jameson Tyone.
01:05So veteran pitchers up there with some high upside as well.
01:08No surprise last year.
01:09They were in the 90s last year with their win two.
01:11I think it was 92.
01:12They should be in the 90s once again this year, Tom.
01:14This is a team, the Chicago Cubs, that will be a playoff team
01:16and certainly may be the best team in the Central Division.
01:19Yeah, the pitching staff is the point of the Cubs that I have an issue with
01:23because Boyd last year was good,
01:25but he also slowed down as the year went on,
01:27just a lot of innings for a veteran pitcher.
01:29Cabrera coming over is obviously a big addition for them.
01:33Imanaga has to stay healthy.
01:35Tyone's just a back-end pitcher, so they don't have a ton of depth.
01:38And if one or two of those players struggles,
01:41Endor goes down with an injury,
01:42that's where the issues for the Cubs could come in.
01:45Yeah, they finished second last year to the Milwaukee Brewers,
01:47and the Brewers, who we'll talk about in just a few moments,
01:49had 97 wins.
01:50So the expectations for last year, which were high,
01:52run differential plus 144.
01:55They should do some damage.
01:56If you're just looking from a talent-to-talent per team here,
01:59I do like the Reds.
01:59I think they're interesting.
02:00But the Cubs, for me, are the top of this division.
02:02I'll see you next time.
