00:00Okay, so now we dive into the players that, in case you missed on some of the top,
00:04here are some of the tier, what we would call three fantasy second basemen.
00:08And Bryson headlines those, naturally qualifies at several positions, including middle infield.
00:14Jorge Polanco, the Mets say he'll play first base for them this year.
00:17Okay, we'll see how that works out.
00:20Gleyber Torres of the Tigers.
00:22There's Caballero with some qualification.
00:25Matt McLean, we can't forget about him.
00:27Brendan Donovan of Seattle, and then Otto Lopez of Miami, who gets middle infield qualification, second base, and shortstop.
00:36Hey, you know, I mentioned earlier, we both like Bryson Stott.
00:39I wouldn't mind taking him as my middle infield and no issues there.
00:41Gleyber Torres is, once again, a solid option.
00:45All right, we know what he's going to do.
00:46He does play in Comerica, so the ball is not going to travel very well.
00:50We know that.
00:50That's the way the ball, that's the way it is here.
00:53So, like I said, as you get down the slow, you're grasping.
00:56What are you looking for?
00:57That's sort of what it comes down to me.
00:58You know, am I looking for average?
00:59Am I looking for basis?
01:00Do I need some power?
01:01And that's the guy I'm going to grab, the guy who, you know, solidifies that.
01:04Polanco with the Mets is somewhat interesting.
01:06The guy can hit.
01:07And he played in Seattle, which is another pitcher's ballpark, so maybe Citi Field won't hurt him all that much
01:11as far as that's concerned.
01:12But my answer is going to be, once again, you're changing leagues, changing positions here.
01:16Just like Bo Bichette here, probably not going to have much of Polanco on my, on many of my teams,
01:22if any, for that matter.
01:24I just don't see a big bang-up year coming.
01:25I think I would rather take a chance on somebody else.
01:28Would agree.
01:30Now, the final grouping here includes some really big upside and then also some reliability here, which is kind of
01:36funny.
01:37So Luis Arias, who is going to play, he's adamant, he's going to play second base this season for the
01:44San Francisco Giants.
01:45But he just really has not played well there, George, in the past.
01:49And the Giants are giving him the keys to that position.
01:52Luis Garcia of Washington, Caleb Durbin, we should circle his name.
01:56There's a possibility of a breakout, I think, for him with Boston.
01:59Same with J.J. Weatherholt.
02:01I mentioned Ernie Clement also.
02:03I even like Cole Keith on Detroit.
02:06Now, Andre Jimenez, I'm not as big a fan.
02:08I think the guy's a great defender.
02:10I think he's a really good player.
02:11But if I ended up with him, it became a 14-team league or something went drastically wrong.
02:16But I will say this.
02:17Some nice upside for some of these.
02:19And in a league where you draft a lot of guys, if you're still using batting average, where you're hitting
02:23210,
02:23you throw Arias in your lineup, you know that that's going to lift the boats there a little bit.
02:30Oh, 100% correct, right?
02:32Arias is a guy you look at.
02:33Oh, God, everybody I draft is going to, you know, hit below the Mendoza line here.
02:36Well, Arias can help you there.
02:37That's the only reason I would draft Arias.
02:39He doesn't add anything else.
02:40No power, no speed.
02:41But he puts the bat on the ball here.
02:43Sort of an old-school player there.
02:44The guys I'm most interested in are the middle three.
02:47All right?
02:47Durbin, Weatherholt, and Clement.
02:49You know, Durbin, I do wonder, believe it or not, if it's last year, it was his breakout year, and
02:53that's it.
02:53You know, Milwaukee, moving on from him so quickly, weird, just weird in my mind.
03:00But once again, playing in Fenway, we'll see what you have there.
03:03Yes, I like Weatherholt.
03:04I like all the young.
03:05The young shortstops are either going to win me leagues, Craig, or they're going to get me in a lot
03:08of trouble
03:08because I'm going to have these guys between Weatherholt, Griffin, McGonagall.
03:12They're going to be on my teams.
03:13And if they don't perform, I'm going to be in some trouble here.
03:17All right?
03:17And Clement is sort of that safe guy.
03:19As I said earlier, I do worry, you know, the imports there.
03:23And you got Barger, you got Clement.
03:26I don't know if there's enough at-bats for everybody.
03:28You know, so there is a little worry there, but maybe injuries will solve that problem itself out.
03:32Clement, as you mentioned earlier, had a hell of a playoffs, right?
03:35So he can play and maybe does deserve that chance to play every day.
