00:02It's 60 years since Australia converted to decimal currency.
00:06And to celebrate that milestone, the Royal Australian Mint is releasing a commemorative $1 coin.
00:11There's a subtle but symbolic difference on that coin.
00:15An extra kangaroo.
00:16So instead of that mob of five roos, we've got a mob of six roos coin to celebrate the 60th
00:22anniversary.
00:23It's the first change to the design of the $1 coin since 1984.
00:27Adding a kangaroo so that there's one for every decade since decimalisation.
00:31Each of these machines behind me can make 600 coins a minute.
00:35And the Mint says there's already 8.5 million of the commemorative $1 coins in circulation.
00:41Some have already been found.
00:43Some have wondered if it's a mistake.
00:45Some have wondered what's the story behind it.
00:49So it's really exciting today to tell everyone it's part of our celebration.
00:55Australian stories that may just end up in your pocket.
00:57I'm doing all right now.
00:58I'm just gonna take a look at what it's all right.
01:00I'm just gonna take a look at the same thing.
01:00And we're talking about the same thing, that's what theCROSSTALK thing is.
01:00So it's gonna look at the same thing.
01:00So it's gonna be really great.
