00:00We're increasingly close to what I've called a country of geniuses in a data center,
00:04a set of AI agents that are more capable than most humans at most things
00:09and can coordinate at superhuman speed.
00:13That level of capability is something the world has never seen before
00:17and brings a very wide range of both opportunities and concerns for humanity.
00:23On the positive side, we have the potential to cure diseases
00:27that have been incurable for thousands of years,
00:30to radically improve human health and to lift billions out of poverty,
00:35including the global south, and create a better world for everyone.
00:39On the side of risks, I'm concerned about the autonomous behavior of AI models,
00:44their potential for misuse by individuals and governments,
00:48and their potential for economic displacement.
