00:05okay we are now getting to know that cbi has filed an appeal already in the delhi high court
00:10challenging the trial court order is charging former delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal
00:15and amadi party are the leaders like manisha soria in the liquor policy corruption case that
00:21was quick move just hours after the rouse avenue court gave them an absolute clean shit now cbi
00:29has already knocked on the doors of the delhi high court nalani joins us for more details on this
00:36story nalani this is not just a clean shit this is the details of the court order from rouse avenue
00:45goes on to say that this was a james board style of uh you know investigation they had no credence
00:52and they actually want investigation done against the officers on a case like that
00:58how what is the basis on which cbi is even taking it to the high court
01:03so now when we were expecting for the cbi to knock the doors of the high court irrespective of how
01:09scathing the order of the trial court was going to be against them but this is the reason the points
01:14that you mentioned is the reason that we've been saying from the beginning that despite being a big
01:18relief for arvind kejriwal and the armadmi party this is a bigger setback for the cbi because of
01:23the kind of things that are mentioned in the 600 page order now it's surprising the alacrity with
01:29which the cbi has acted also keeping in mind the kind of observations that have been made against
01:34them it was crucial that they appeal against this order as early as possible but remember it's a 600
01:39page order but they have gone through that we are given to understand from our sources within the cbi
01:44that the appeal has been filed before the delhi high court but for them to get an urgent hearing is
01:49going to be slightly an uphill battle essentially because for the next entire week the delhi high
01:54court is going to be closed for the holy vacations and along with that another battle that we are
01:59going to see in the delhi high court is when arvind kejriwal and manis isodia move the high court
02:03seeking discharge in the ed case as well so we can effectively say that the entire battle has shifted
02:09to the delhi high court the cbi has sought a stay on the trial judges order they've also
02:14requested for an urgent hearing they've stated that there were several aspects of their investigation
02:20in the excise policy case which were not appreciated and not taken into consideration by the trial court
02:25that is the basis on which this appeal has been filed but how soon they'll be able to get a
02:29hearing
02:30from the delhi high court is something that remains to be seen all right so not sure how soon this
02:35will
02:35be taken up but nalini is right the battle has clearly moved to the delhi high court now and let's
02:39see
02:40where it gets uh uh where it which judge does it go in front of which when and how this
02:46case actually
02:47gets picked up
