Setback For AAP, Supreme Court Upholds Appointment Of Aldermen To MCD By Delhi L-G

The Supreme Court on Monday, August 5, upheld the decision of the Delhi Lieutenant Governor (L-G) to appoint aldermen to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) without consulting the Delhi government. Reacting to the ruling, the ruling AAP said the apex court's judgement is a "big blow" to democracy.
