00:00Most of us probably couldn't imagine running a marathon, let alone an ultramarathon.
00:05Ultramarathons are races that involve running more than 26 miles, oftentimes up to 100 miles,
00:10and in locations that include elevation changes and running at night.
00:13But this person, extreme runner Savas Kobin, not only runs ultramarathons,
00:17but he has run one every single day for the last 86 days.
00:21And he did so while running through every climate and region of Peru.
00:25The German athlete jogged through rain, snow, and everything in between,
00:28ascending to over 18,000 feet above sea level.
00:31His adventure began way back in November, and only just concluded on February 7th.
00:36In total, over the course of 86 days, Kobin ran a total of 3,212.5 miles,
00:41an achievement in a lifetime, let alone just under three months.
00:44With Kobin telling Yahoo News, quote,
00:46If you want something so bad, nothing can stop you.
00:49So no matter how much pain I had, some days I had pain the whole day,
00:52my feet were bleeding, but it just didn't stop me.
00:54And he absolutely shattered a previous Guinness World Record as well.
00:57The previous record holder was Megan Cassidy,
00:59who ran an ultramarathon every day for 23 days straight.
