00:32Iran and the United States made significant progress in talks in Switzerland on Thursday,
00:37mediators said after the latest round of negotiations,
00:40and agreed to further discussions next week.
00:43The two sides adjourned after around three hours of talks
00:46and resumed the discussions later in the day.
00:49I can say that in a few hours,
00:52it was a good and good time.
01:05The talks were not expected to lead to a breakthrough and the U.S. continues to
01:09waste strikes as it gathers a massive fleet of aircraft and warships in the region.
01:14Last Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump gave Tehran 15 days to reach a deal.
01:20Trump wants Iran to completely halt its enrichment of uranium
01:24and roll back both its long-range missile program
01:27and its support for regional armed groups.
01:30Iran says it will only discuss nuclear issues
01:33and maintains its atomic program is for entirely peaceful purposes.
01:41Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban has proposed a fact-finding mission
01:45be deployed to the Ukrainian section of the Druzhba pipeline
01:48to assess the damage caused last month by a Russian attack,
01:51prompting a suspension at crude deliveries to Hungary and Slovakia.
01:56Orban said in a letter sent to European Council President Antonio Costa
02:00and seen by Euronews that it's in his country's interest
02:03to restore oil transfers as soon as possible.
02:06The Hungarian leader proposed that experts delegated by Hungary and Slovakia
02:11accompany the mission to, quote,
02:13verify the status of the pipeline,
02:15asserting that Budapest will accept the findings of such a mission.
02:19The Druzhba pipeline sits at the forefront of sky-high tensions between Hungary and Ukraine,
02:25with Budapest accusing Kyiv of politicizing the issue at their detriment.
02:28It also led to Hungary vetoing a €90 billion EU assistance loan to Ukraine agreed on by leaders in December.
02:37Orban admitted that he's aware of the political difficulties his last-minute veto has created
02:42and says his initiative is aimed at reaching a timely resolution to the issue.
02:47The Hungarian premier highlighted the absurdity of the situation,
02:50saying he conceded by agreeing to the loan he personally disapproved of only for Ukraine to, quote,
02:57create an emergency situation in Hungary.
03:00The tone of the letter is, however, a significant step back from Orban,
03:04who has more recently endorsed incendiary language towards the EU and Kyiv.
03:09Just last week, he accused Brussels of colluding with the opposition ahead of the upcoming elections
03:15to remove him and install a pro-Ukraine government in Hungary.
03:22In the middle of Berlin stands a van that was hit by a Russian drone in Ukraine.
03:27The vehicle was a so-called social taxi, operated by two aid workers,
03:32Oleg Connect Salnik and Oleg Degusarov in the Kherson region.
03:38And Olenze wants to show the weapons being used in this war
03:42and has transported the vehicle back to display at the Berlin Story Bunker Museum.
04:11Oleg Salnik was only 28 years old when he was killed in the attack.
04:14He worked as a volunteer in the Kherson region in southern Ukraine,
04:19which parts of remain under Russian control today.
04:22With this initiative, he aimed to assist those who wanted to remain in their hometowns.
04:28He wanted to stay when the Russians came.
04:31He was also in the settled city.
04:33He stayed there and said, this is my city.
04:36And regardless of how it looks, I will stay, I will help.
04:39And he could go.
04:41He had the papers to leave the country,
04:43because he was in a Russian prison.
04:45He could live in Kiev.
04:47He could do something else.
04:48And he always said, no, I will stay in my city,
04:51because if everyone are going, there is no longer there.
04:55Lenze knew the two aid workers personally and used to drive the van himself.
05:00For him, it was clear.
05:02The vehicle had to go back to Berlin
05:05to illustrate to the outside world what a war crime looks like.
05:13The European Commission said on Thursday that member states can use an EU social fund
05:19to provide access to abortion for women who are legally prevented from doing so in their home country.
05:25The decision comes in response to the citizens' initiative, My Voice, My Choice.
05:30The group called on the EU to help women with no access to safe abortions
05:35and raised over a million signatures for its campaign last year.
05:38When 1.2 million citizens raised their voice,
05:42when the European Parliament sent a clear democratic signal,
05:48and when civil society mobilizes across the borders,
05:53we saw that at the end of the day, the European Commission cannot look away.
05:59The Commission is relying on the already existing European Social Fund.
06:03It stopped short from establishing a new specific funding mechanism
06:07which had been requested by the European Parliament in December.
06:11The European Social Funds Plus is a shared management,
06:14a shared managed fund, both by the Commission and the member states.
06:20EU money is made available to member states to enhance access to affordable abortion,
06:27while member states ensure the funds reach women seeking safe and accessible abortion.
06:35While acknowledging that a new legal instrument wasn't created,
06:39the campaigners still celebrated the decision.
06:42According to the organizers, the development acknowledges the core objectives of the campaign
06:47and creates a pathway to implement them in practice.
06:55France has sent an aircraft carrier to Sweden to boost defense in Northern Europe.
07:01Named Charles de Gaulle, the nuclear-powered warship is France's biggest,
07:05and its deployment is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties,
07:09as well as regional cooperation on defense.
07:11In fact, it's a very important signal.
07:15It shows that France is able to deploy its aeronavale group,
07:22which is a major instrument of power projection.
07:25It demonstrates our interoperability with our allies.
07:30The boat will play a key role in NATO exercises this spring in the North Sea and Arctic,
07:36as Alliance members seek to beef up their presence
07:39along Europe's northern and eastern maritime flanks.
07:42The exercises come at a time of increased Russian maritime activity in the area
07:48and shifting U.S. interests in the Arctic.

08:08Not only among the young and childless,
08:10but also among those who want to stop at a certain number of offspring.
08:15An influencer and a father of two, Kamil Pawelski,
08:18also decided to undergo the procedure.
08:47As most vasectomies are performed privately, there are no official
08:50treatment of the patient.

08:55are performed in Poland each year.
