00:15The three accused, Major Mohamed Azmi Abubakar, Warrant Officer Mohamed Norbuang Ghani and
00:22Captain Mohamed Bahuddin Abd Rashid, pleaded not guilty before Judge Haida Faridzal Abu

00:28They are jointly accused of committing an act that led to the death of 22-year-old Shamsul
00:34Harish Shamsuddin, with the intention of causing injury likely to result in death.
00:39The alleged offence took place on July 28 last year between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the
00:45Ulu
00:45Tiram Utara firing range.
00:48The charge was framed under Section 304 Subsection A of the Penal Code, read together with Section
00:5534 of the same code.
00:56If convicted, each accused faces up to 30 years' imprisonment and are fine.
01:02Earlier, the prosecution informed the court that the Attorney General's chambers proposed
01:08bail of 50,000 ringgit with one surety should bail be granted.
01:13Judge Haida Faridzal initially set bail at 25,000 ringgit before reducing it to 20,000 ringgit
01:20per accused, with one surety each after hearing mitigation.
01:25The court also ordered the accused to surrender their passports and fixed April 13 for case
01:31mention for the appointment of counsel and submission of documents.
