00:00Entering the town of Twin Peaks.
00:02It's five miles south of the Canadian border,
00:0412 miles west of the state line.
00:06Welcome to WatchMojo!
00:07And today we're looking at the shows that defied expectations
00:10to become beloved classics.
00:12You, uh, you want to cook crystal meth?
00:17You.
00:17Since they deserve their own list, animated shows
00:20won't be included here.
00:21You have the craziest adventures when you disappear.
00:24Well, look at you, buster!
00:26Number 21.
00:28A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
00:29I have the honor to be a knight.
00:33Oh.
00:35Oh.
00:37A knight that has fallen on sad days.
00:39Any fan would attest that the Game of Thrones universe
00:41has had its ups and downs.
00:43And as such, expectations for any further
00:45spin-offs have been fairly low.
00:47But alas, the 2026 adaptation
00:49of the Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas
00:51have revived hope that this fantasy
00:53franchise can still deliver.
00:55As courage deserted,
00:57the noble houses of Westeros!
01:00I will not believe in his soul!
01:02Serving as an additional prequel tale
01:04to the original series,
01:05A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms tells a more focused story
01:07centering its core duo.
01:09Sir Duncan the Tall.
01:11Never heard of him.
01:13Does he know every knight in the Seven Kingdoms then?
01:15The good ones.
01:16Despite spinning a comparatively less sprawling narrative,
01:19the show doesn't hold back on its high-level production value
01:22and world building.
01:23For that, we give this series a whole-hearted huzzah!
01:31Number 20.
01:33Cobra Kai
01:42Messing with a classic is always a slippery slope.
01:44And when it came to touching the revered Karate Kid series,
01:47many were understandably cautious.
01:56However, Cobra Kai was the farthest thing from a nostalgic cash-in.
02:02Instead, the show turned out to be a complex look into the long-term consequences
02:07of choices made in youth.
02:08Wait, is this the karate guy?
02:10The guy from the tournament?
02:11Oh, this is the guy whose ass you kicked.
02:13Uh, listen, it was a really close match,
02:15but if you want to get technical,
02:18I kicked his face.
02:19Is the karate still fun and fast?
02:21Absolutely.
02:21But the real surprise was the emotional depth woven into every character.
02:25Hey, I'm trying here, man.
02:27I'm working the Miyagi-Do program.
02:30Didn't kick that guy's ass today.
02:33I thought that was supposed to change things.
02:35While the younger generation struggles with pressure and identity crises,
02:38legacy characters are forced to reconcile their own past wounds
02:41and grow beyond them.
02:43The result is an action-packed and humbling journey with a payoff
02:46that rewards fans both old and new.
02:49Are you sure you're ready?
02:51Because once you go down this path, there's no turning back.
02:53You're gonna be my karate teacher?
02:55No.
02:58I'm gonna be your sensei.
03:00Number 19.
03:01Alf.
03:01Hello?
03:02Is the doctor in?
03:04Hello?
03:07Unless, of course, the truth has an arrow through his head.
03:12What if E.T. never made it back home?
03:14Alf might be the answer.
03:15Unlike E.T., who's childlike, wholesome, and loving,
03:19Alf, or Gordon Shumway, is a loud, abrasive, and cynical adult
03:23who never gets to go home.
03:24You amaze me.
03:27You're 229 years old.
03:29And that's what you think is funny.
03:31Can we talk about this some other time?
03:33I have to make number four.
03:35But that contrast is what truly makes the show,
03:38as Alf slowly warms up to the family who have chosen him as one of their own.
03:41As a sitcom, each episode features another one of Alf's many wacky misadventures.
03:45Beneath all the jokes, though, is a show with a surprising amount of heart
03:49that prevents it from feeling hollow or too cheesy.
03:52I don't want anything to happen to him.
03:54Aha, you do care what happens to Alf?
03:58Of course I care.
04:00I always did.
04:01Alf's reputation has grown with time,
04:03now considered a cult classic that critics didn't fully appreciate during its time.
04:07Number 18, Psych.
04:09You're talking about a psychic.
04:11Someone who can see danger before it occurs.
04:14Someone who can say,
04:15Nigel, duck!
04:16Before the bullet exits the chamber.
04:17Spare me the theatrics.
04:19Can you do it?
04:20Or not?
04:21A man pretending to be a psychic while solving crimes with his best friend?
04:25For many, that would sound like the setup for a parody.
04:27Spencer!
04:28You missed something?
04:30We found Prince.
04:31Was he in a Little Red Corvette?
04:33Under the Cherry Moon.
04:34Finger, Prince.
04:36They belong to Emilina Saffron.
04:37So do the drugs we found in the food.
04:39But not only did Psych manage to overcome its kooky premise,
04:42it also built its own dedicated fanbase,
04:44lasting over a hundred episodes across eight seasons.
04:47Driven by the incredible chemistry between his leads,
04:49the show goes beyond the standard police procedural template.
04:52Although it follows a case-of-the-week format,
04:55Psych also swerves into deep-cut pop culture references and two-hour musicals.
05:07It may not have been an awards darling or a ratings juggernaut,
05:10but Psych knows how to entertain its audiences
05:12while staying true to its easygoing, self-aware spirit.
05:16Number 17, Peacemaker.
05:17He does exactly what I do.
05:19But better.
05:20I always hit my target's dead center.
05:21I hit them more in the center.
05:22Are you calling something more in the center?
05:24I use smaller bullets.
05:25What?
05:25They go inside your bullet holes without even touching the side.
05:28The Suicide Squad repaired much of the damage caused by the now-abandoned DC Extended Universe.
05:33Still, many were skeptical when Peacemaker,
05:35the most vile and seemingly irredeemable character from the film,
05:39got his own series.
05:40It just seems like under the surface you're kinda angry about it.
05:42I'm not.
05:42Seems like you are.
05:43Well, I'm not at all, dude.
05:44Okay, the way you said dude right there?
05:46What?
05:46Seems miffed.
05:47I said it like I always say it.
05:48You know what?
05:49If anything, you should be grateful.
05:50But all doubts vanished the moment the theme song rolled out,
05:53as audiences realized this was an experience meant to be enjoyed with an irreverent sense of humor.
05:57Once the magic starts.
06:00Do you really want me?
06:02Do you really wanna taste that?
06:04What's going on must come down.
06:06Do you really want me?
06:07Do you really wanna taste that?
06:09Crude, crass, and proudly unhinged, Peacemaker is as ridiculous as it gets.
06:14But the cast's commitment and chaotic energy turns the show into must-see entertainment.
06:19You did just kill the only man who knows how to make it.
06:21I know, bro!
06:22I was being sarcastic.
06:23If you're gonna be sarcastic, you should really warn people so there's no confusion.
06:26Okay, so how do we get the Sonic Boom helmet over to the barn?
06:29With a tongue-in-cheek edge that pokes fun at genre cliches and superhero narrative inconsistencies,
06:35the show knows how weird it is and fully embraces it.
06:38Number 16, Barry.
06:40We pay you.
06:41No, you don't pay me anything if you take care of the money.
06:43I just need his name and address and it'll be done in a couple of days.
06:46That sounds good, right?
06:48Yeah, there's a lot of ways I can do this.
06:51Beginning as a dark comedy about a hitman who stumbles into an acting class,
06:54Barry elevates itself once it departs from its own premise.
06:58Not many knew what to expect from a series that seemed to juggle different genres,
07:01but Barry paid off audience interest by evolving into an unsettling character study.
07:06Like, I know there's more to me than that.
07:11Maybe, I don't know.
07:15Maybe it is not.
07:16While it retains some of its comedic edge later on,
07:18the focus shifts into the lead character's intense loneliness and identity crisis.
07:22Fans were fascinated to see how Barry and those around him
07:26handled themes like self-deception and moral decay.
07:28It was hard, but I did it.
07:31Everything's so good right now.
07:35I'm a good person.
07:36Watching them grappling with their own inherent darkness
07:39asks viewers to question where it's all headed and what it's all about.
07:43Number 15, Ted Lasso.
07:45It's about helping these young fellas be the best versions of themselves on and off the field.
07:49And it ain't always easy, Trent.
07:51But neither is growing up without someone believing in you.
07:54In an age where audiences expect cynicism as the default storytelling technique,
07:58Ted Lasso took a bold step in the other direction.
08:01While it can still be crude and provocative,
08:03the series is ultimately a feel-good story about kindness in a world that takes it for granted.
08:07And I want to thank you for your patience with me.
08:10You know, when I showed up here, I didn't know one thing about soccer.
08:13But now, now I know at least one thing about football.
08:16The story of an American college football coach managing an English Premier League team
08:20is undoubtedly wacky.
08:22However, the series grounds its absurd premise
08:25as characters reconcile their differences under Ted's boundless optimism.
08:29There are two things you can't ever let the other team know.
08:31Alright, the first one is your home address.
08:33Cause mark my words, you'll start having food deliveries and SWAT teams
08:36showing up your front door 24-7.
08:37Released at a more frequent pace and a larger episode count than most modern series,
08:41Ted Lasso became a comfort watch for many.
08:44Not bad for a show that some initially wrote off as too optimistic in a cynical era.
08:48Maybe I don't want to learn the truth.
08:51Ted, the truth will set you free.
08:55But first, it'll piss you off.
08:57Number 14, Arrow.
08:58Your fingerprints are on this.
09:00From a fifth I drank up there, but I...
09:02What did you see?
09:03Nothing.
09:05I was up on the roof of somebody's...
09:07This lady, she showed up to...
09:08She told us to go.
09:09Superhero shows on network TV had a patchy history, to say the least.
09:13Smallville was an exception in a sea of less than stellar material
09:16that left the genre struggling for relevance.
09:19Sure you can afford being seen at the town pariah?
09:21I'll take my chances.
09:25What happened, Lex?
09:26Then came Arrow, exploding in such a way that the CW rode the wave for over a decade.
09:32Oliver Queen's journey into Green Arrow is paved with twists and turns,
09:36moving from street-level vigilantism to universe-altering stakes.
09:40Where is she?
09:42Where is Sarah?
09:44At his heart, though, fans connected with the idea of an ordinary human
09:48shouldering extraordinary responsibility without losing his morality.
09:52I want you to consider...
09:55What would happen to your father...
09:58If something happened to you?
10:00The show's navigation of multiple long-term arcs and a growing ensemble
10:04became the foundation of the Arrowverse,
10:06delivering heart-stopping entertainment to millions of superhero fans worldwide.
10:10Number 13, Fargo.
10:12I gotta say, if that were me in your position...
10:19I would've killed that man.
10:20Following up on one of the Coen brothers' masterpieces seemed like a fool's errand,
10:24but Noah Hawley didn't just defy expectations,
10:27he obliterated them.
10:28Hawley's take on the Fargo universe is about seemingly ordinary people,
10:32embroiled in a special kind of violence,
10:34one that tests their own convictions.
10:36You could do that.
10:38Or you could go get in your car and drive away.
10:43Now why would I do that?
10:45Because some roads you shouldn't go down.
10:48With its blend of dark humor and brutal catharsis,
10:50Fargo reinvents itself with each season.
10:53Set across decades and intertwined through recurring themes and characters,
10:57each story spirals into its own brand of chaos.
11:00You lied to me.
11:02There are no hordes coming.
11:03No mongrel hordes.
11:06It's you!
11:07No!
11:08Now, now, now!
11:09Veering between terrifying realism and surreal elements,
11:12the show hypnotizes viewers as much as it unsettles them.
11:15So, is this what we want?
11:17Yeah, you betcha!
11:19What the heck do you want?
11:21I just wanted to have a look at you.
11:26Okay.
11:27That'll do it.
11:28Number 12.
11:29Arrested Development.
11:30This is Michael Bluth.
11:32For ten years, he's worked for his father's company waiting to be made a partner.
11:36And right now, he's happy.
11:39A show far ahead of its time,
11:41Arrested Development struggled to find a mainstream audience during its original run.
11:44However, its use of farce and cringe comedy turned it into a cult favorite.
11:49They cannot arrest a husband and wife for the same crime.
11:58Yeah, I don't think that that's true, Dad.
12:00Its post-cancellation popularity was so great that Netflix revived the show,
12:04setting off a trend of other nostalgia-based resurrections.
12:07On the surface, the story about the self-centered dysfunctional Bluth family looks like a standard sitcom.
12:12He needs to be the new face of this family.
12:15He's the only likable one in the bunch, no offense.
12:18None taken.
12:20I'm sorry, isn't Michael the least likable one in the family?
12:23But those who gave it a chance soon realized that Arrested Development's single-camera style,
12:28hilariously toxic family dynamics, and satirical streak were all groundbreaking in their own right.
12:32The joke isn't how absurd the characters are, but how wackier they can get.
12:37I can assure you that my family is back on track and no longer in any trouble.
12:42Not according to today's paper.
12:45God, what have we done this time?
12:46Once that truly clicks, the show becomes practically impossible to resist.
12:51Number 11, Mr. Robot.
12:53There's a powerful group of people out there that are secretly running the world.
12:58I'm talking about the guys no one knows about, the guys that are invisible.
13:02A show that balances multiple arcs with far-reaching payoffs,
13:05Mr. Robot toys with its audience from its opening moments to the series finale.
13:10Centering on hacker Elliot Alderson, the series takes a deep dive into his dissociative identity disorder.
13:15I don't want to be in this nightmare anymore. I want to wake up. I want my life back!
13:23By seeing the world through Elliot's eyes, we're left just as spiraled, disoriented, and awestruck as the protagonist.
13:29While its techno-thriller elements never fail to wow audiences,
13:33Mr. Robot's real brilliance comes from how it invests in one storyline,
13:36only to reveal something far more unexpected beneath the surface.
13:39What if he could take down one conglomerate?
13:44A conglomerate so deeply entrenched in the world's economy.
13:49Its highly regarded finale delivers a twist for the ages,
13:52making everyone question if the entire journey had all been one grand swerve in the making.
13:57Number 10, Andor.
13:59We will never have a better chance than this.
14:04And I would rather die trying to take them down than giving them what they want.
14:11The reception to Star Wars Disney era has been divided, to say the least.
14:15After the fallout from the much-criticized sequel trilogy,
14:18a certain portion of the fanbase wasn't willing to give any new Star Wars material much of a chance.
14:22For everyone we've lost.
14:25They've taken enough of us.
14:27Now we take the war to them.
14:29But living up to the standards set by Rogue One,
14:32Cassian Andor's prequel story won over even the loudest of detractors.
14:36Bringing context to his story about becoming part of the Rebel Alliance,
14:39the Disney Plus series humanizes both its titular protagonist and everyone around him.
14:54Andor's fast-paced, action-packed style keeps fans invested all the way through,
14:58building around the Star Wars lore in the process.
15:02Number 9, Schitt's Creek.
15:14With a title as odd as this, we can understand why this sitcom wasn't on many people's watchlists.
15:19It wasn't until it hit Netflix that the world recognized Schitt's Creek's brilliance,
15:23which combines satire with genuine heart.
15:26After their crooked manager robs them of most of their fortune,
15:28the Rose family is forced to relocate to the titular town.
15:32You bought a small town in 1991, Johnny.
15:36Yes, I bought that as a joke for my son.
15:39But you actually purchased that town?
15:41Over the course of its six-season run,
15:43the materialistic and out-of-touch Roses blend into their environment,
15:47shedding their elitism to not only embrace their newfound life,
15:50but also learn to give back.
15:52Filled with life lessons and wholesome moments,
15:54the show's flawless execution turns what could have been an absurd premise
15:57into a story of growth, acceptance, and found family.
16:01The world is falling apart around us, John, and I'm dying inside.
16:05Well, I'm feeling a little queasy myself.
16:08Oh, brisket.
16:09Number 8, Hannibal.
16:10I'm beginning to suspect you're investigating me, Agent Crawford.
16:14No, no.
16:16No, you were referred to me by Alana Bloom.
16:19No matter the actor, there is always something desirable about Hannibal Lecter.
16:23This was proven in NBC's Hannibal,
16:25which centers on the unexplainable pull Lecter feels toward Will Graham.
16:29God forbid we become friendly.
16:31I don't find you that interesting.
16:34We will.
16:35During his attempts to expose the antagonist's cannibalistic ambitions,
16:38Will finds himself increasingly drawn to Lecter's darkness,
16:41forcing him to confront his own sense of duty.
16:44Those who thought Mads Mikkelsen might not live up to Anthony Hopkins
16:47quickly learned there was no need to worry.
16:49I'm really going to talk to this young woman when she comes to.
16:53How much do you think she'll remember?
16:56I sincerely hope for her sake she doesn't remember much.
16:59Mikkelsen brings his own devilishly delicious twist to the character,
17:02playing him with a refined, seductive edge
17:05that makes Lecter come across as elegant and terrifying.
17:08As disturbing as it is strangely romantic,
17:10Hannibal sets up a steamy dish
17:12that fans are all too willing to sink their teeth into.
17:14When life becomes madingly polite,
17:20think about me.
17:24Think about me, Will.
17:25Number seven.
17:26It's always sunny in Philadelphia.
17:28I just had a heart attack.
17:29Can we focus on me for two minutes here?
17:30I feel like we did talk about you.
17:31D, your ship has sailed, okay?
17:33It's time to move on to us.
17:34The people who are going to live on.
17:36Guys, we gotta make sure that this does not happen to us.
17:38Yeah.
17:38If you ever wonder what Seinfeld would be like
17:40if it ran in perpetuity,
17:41then it's always sunny is your answer.
17:43Over two decades of entertainment,
17:45it's sleazy, lazy, and narcissistic characters
17:48have refused to change,
17:49and don't plan to anytime soon.
17:51Kind of a package deal.
17:53We sort of work as a team.
17:54I tell you what, what if we split the pay right down the middle?
17:56Hmm.
17:57You'd be willing to do that?
17:58Oh, yeah.
17:59Yeah, this has nothing to do with money.
18:01But the lack of evolution has allowed the show to thrive,
18:03on the way to becoming the longest-running
18:05American live-action sitcom in history.
18:07Whether they're up to more outrageous hijinks,
18:10trying yet one more failed get-rich-quick scheme,
18:12or tormenting Rickety Cricket,
18:14there's never a dull moment with these guys around.
18:16What do you guys want, huh?
18:17Can we ever get a warm reception from you?
18:19Yeah, it's never a nice hello.
18:19I mean, like...
18:20What's the cloak thing, too?
18:21What are you doing here?
18:21Like a family opera thing, or what's the story?
18:23I don't like it.
18:24Take it off, we want to talk to you.
18:25Talk it off!
18:26It's unapologetic cruelty has kept it as a niche show,
18:28but those who take a trip down to Philly
18:30know exactly what the others are missing.
18:32Number 6, Fleabag.
18:34Wow, um...
18:35This doesn't happen very often, does it?
18:37No.
18:38No, I suppose it's...
18:41It's quite rare, yeah.
18:44I hate myself.
18:45Is it a comedy, drama, or a tragedy?
18:48Why not all of them?
18:49Fleabag has the makings of each of these genres,
18:51but settles for a bit of everything instead.
18:54Don't say anything.
18:55And please don't contact me,
18:57or turn off my house drunk in your underwear.
18:59It won't work this time.
19:00It will.
19:01It takes us into the mind of a bold, messy, but deeply flawed woman,
19:05dealing with her lack of direction through sharp wit and emotional indifference.
19:09The show had a niche audience at the start of its run,
19:11but unanimous acclaim and an incredible awards run
19:14forced the world to pay attention.
19:16I'm sorry, that kind of thing won't get you very far here anymore.
19:18Oh no, sorry.
19:19I thought I had a top one underneath.
19:21Yeah, okay.
19:22No, seriously.
19:23In this case, genuine accident.
19:25Despite its low episode count,
19:26Fleabag connects with audiences beyond the screen.
19:29The fourth wall breaking protagonist speaks to us with a relatable energy
19:32that feels quirky, intimate, and intensely relatable.
19:36I feel fantastic.
19:37We're a very positive family, let's say.
19:39Oh, absolutely.
19:40I think it's all about positivity.
19:42It takes real commitment to be this happy.
19:44It's not just about eating and drinking well either.
19:46Number five, The Leftovers.
19:47Another show that does a lot with just a little,
19:50The Leftovers combines its devastating premise with profound psychological death.
19:54He was my husband's.
19:56He's not coming back either.
20:01Sorry for your loss.
20:02Is that what it is?
20:03After 140 million people vanished without explanation,
20:06the world is faced with a moral reckoning it's ill-equipped to handle.
20:09Unlike some of HBO's heaviest hitters,
20:11The Leftovers wasn't a ratings powerhouse or a leading awards candidate.
20:15Where is Mr. Lindbaker?
20:18He went through.
20:21Through the machine?
20:23Yes.
20:24Is it here?
20:25In this building?
20:26Its strength lies in its raw, intimate look at humanity's capacity for cruelty and empathy.
20:32A fascinating watch for those searching for more than just scope and spectacle.
20:36With a clear end in sight that feels just as earned as it is heavy,
20:39The Leftovers delivers a deeply moving story that makes full use of its equally talented cast.
20:45You can't have a kid.
20:47Because then you'd have no excuse.
20:50You couldn't be a victim anymore.
20:52You'd have to be okay.
20:53Number four, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
20:56Oh, it's also a big step forward.
20:58A senior moment.
21:00One that has to be savored.
21:02You can't just rush into this, you know?
21:04The great boom in teen-based fantasy shows has this iconic series to thank.
21:09Although based on the 1992 film of the same name,
21:12Buffy doesn't settle for monster-of-the-week thrills or romantic melodrama.
21:16It's okay, I got it.
21:17You're, uh, Buffy, right?
21:20I'm Faith.
21:23I'm gonna go on a limb and say there's a new Slayer in town.
21:26Doubling as a powerful coming-of-age story,
21:28it invites audiences to grow with its heroine through her journey of fear, loss, and self-discovery.
21:33A diverse cast led by a feminine voice was far from common at the time of its premiere,
21:38making the show a trailblazer that encouraged more showrunners to take bolder swings.
21:52Initially dismissed as a monster show for teenagers,
21:54the Scooby gang has proven its staying power for over two decades,
21:58inspiring generations to come up with their own pre-butt-kicking one-liner as Buffy does.
22:02Number three, Stranger Things.
22:04Known today as Netflix's biggest success,
22:07Stranger Things was a stab in the dark when it first premiered.
22:10Shadow grows on the wall behind you,
22:12swallowing you in darkness.
22:14It is almost here.
22:15What is it?
22:16What if it's the Demogorgon?
22:17Oh, Jesus, we're so screwed if it's the Demogorgon.
22:20It's not the Demogorgon!
22:21Starring Winona Ryder on her comeback trail,
22:24David Harbour in his first leading role,
22:25and an unknown young cast.
22:27The show had everything stacked against it.
22:29And yet,
22:30Stranger Things was a blockbuster upon arrival,
22:33becoming a global phenomenon that turned everyone into instant A-listers.
22:37Things are gonna work out.
22:39No, I don't need you to reassure me right now
22:41and tell me that it's all gonna work out,
22:43because people have been telling me that my entire life,
22:45and it's almost never true.
22:46The town of Hawkins is a hotbed for sinister monsters and supernatural forces,
22:50as revelations behind a portal to another realm come to light.
22:54Each season adds another layer to an overarching mystery
22:57that connects back together,
22:58making audiences run up that hill for the ultimate binge-watching experience.
23:02Why are you doing this?
23:04Because Henry's gotten to him,
23:05and he's lost his mind.
23:06Kali, wait!
23:07No!
23:08This is bigger than him, Jane.
23:10Bigger than any of us.
23:11Yeah, go ahead.
23:12Go ahead.
23:12Shoot me.
23:13Number 2.
23:14Twin Peaks.
23:15Mark Frost in David Lynch's mind-bending horror drama
23:18never fails to leave viewers both confused and invested.
23:21Bobby, here's how this works.
23:24We ask the questions,
23:26and you answer the questions that we ask.
23:29Briefly.
23:30And to the point.
23:31Lynch.
23:31Known for films like Dune, Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, and The Elephant Man,
23:36was unproven on television.
23:38While doubts about his ability to translate his style to the small screen were valid,
23:42the director hit it big with a surreal mystery
23:44that deliberately asks more questions than it ever answers.
23:47He left me three clues.
23:49The first had to do with Jacques Renault in a body bag.
23:52It came true almost immediately.
23:54The titular town pushes FBI agent Dale Cooper to his limits,
23:57pulling viewers into his warped lens, where nothing feels right.
24:00Rejecting the crowd-pleasing conventions the TV required back then,
24:05Twin Peaks refuses to offer comfort or clarity.
24:08The show wants to make us feel as nervous, stifled, and uncertain as its characters
24:12for what is a delightfully bizarre experience.
24:15When you see me again,
24:21it's gonna be me.

24:39Number one, Breaking Bad.
24:41A promotional poster featuring the bumbling dad from Malcolm in the Middle standing in his underwear in the desert.
24:46I just want you to know that no matter how it may look, I only had you in my heart.
24:54Most didn't know what to make of Vince Gilligan's then-outcoming series,
24:57but by the beginning of the first episode, it was clear this was no throwaway show.
25:01This was a turning point for television itself.
25:04Fueled by a lust for power and validation,
25:06Walter White transforms from Family Man into a monster after surrendering to his darkest impulses.
25:12I was told that the man I would be meeting with is very careful, a cautious man.
25:20I believe we're alike in that way.
25:22With an incredible stream of unforgettable villains, richly layered supporting characters,
25:27and meticulously constructed arc that builds towards its destructive payoff,
25:31Breaking Bad redefined the TV landscape, elevating it to the level of cinema.
25:35I am not in danger, Skylar. I am the danger.
25:39A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me?
25:42No. I am the one who knocks.
25:45And all we can say is, bravo Vince.
