00:00What the country saw last night was not a State of the Union, it was Trump's state of delusion.
00:08For nearly two hours, the president inflated his ego, rewrote reality,
00:14and offered zero solutions to the problems American families are struggling with every night.
00:20I'll bet there were just as many people last night discussing how to pay the bills
00:25as there were watching the State of the Union.
00:30The president's in a bubble, he doesn't have a clue about what the average American people are going through.
00:36He just didn't ignore the affordability crisis, he mocked it.
00:40Can you imagine sitting down at the table and saying,
00:43we can't meet our electric bill, what's going to happen?
00:46And you hear the president of the United States is mocking your inability to pay
00:52because prices have gone up.
00:55While President Trump stood up there congratulating himself,
00:59Americans were confronting the reality.
01:04Ground beef up 11%, coffee up 41%, rents up, healthcare costs up, electricity up.
01:10Families are spending this year over $1,700 more because of Trump's tariff tax.
01:17And he's gloating about it.
01:19He's gloating about it.
01:21Families don't need a two-hour speech.
01:24They need relief at the checkout counter,
01:26especially a speech that hardly mentioned any solutions for the American people.
01:32You know, look,
01:35Trump spent a lot of time praising himself.
01:37He patted himself on the back so often that he thought he might fall down.
01:40But the American people didn't want hype.
01:45They didn't want the kind of stuff he did.
01:50And he lied.
01:51He just lies.
01:52He makes it up.
01:54He said, we've gained manufacturing jobs.
01:57We've lost over 100,000 manufacturing jobs since he became president.
02:01He said job creation is on the rise.
02:05No.
02:06It's at the lowest point in 20 years outside of a recession.
02:10I think it was 2003 that job creation on a percentage basis was as low.
02:17And then, incredibly,
02:20Trump put J.D. Vance in charge of investigating corruption.
02:24Well, in one way, he's a good choice because if he wants to investigate corruption,
02:30he doesn't need a task force.
02:32He doesn't even need a car.
02:34All he has to do is walk down the hall and start investigating his boss
02:38where there's huge amounts of corruption.
02:42He can start with the billionaires bankrolling Trump's vanity projects.
02:46He can look at corrupt pardons that the president gave.
02:50He can look at the luxury jet gifted from the Middle East.
02:55And most of all, glaring of all, he can ask the president why the Epstein files, all of them, haven't
03:02been released.
03:05Last night was all hype and no help.
03:09If you're a family hoping to hear how your costs would go down, you got nothing.
03:14If you're a worker hoping to hear how your job would be protected, you got nothing.
03:18If you're a voter hoping for accountability, you got deflection.
03:21Last night's speech was an utter failure for Trump.
03:26All hype, all fluff, not what the American people who were having trouble paying for beef
03:37and so many other things wanted.
03:40And just lastly, the contrast between Donald Trump and Governor Spanberger
03:46and Senator Padilla, who gave a great speech as well.
03:50They talked about lowering costs.
03:53They talked about protecting rights.
03:56They talked about restoring integrity.
03:59Compare Trump's speech to their speech
04:01and Americans will know why it's Democrats fighting for them
04:05and it's easy to figure out why people prefer Democrats to Republicans
04:10when it comes to all of the polling data we have seen.
