00:03You have never fought a monster like this. Actually, you never fought a monster at all,
00:10not in real life. What would happen if you, a normal person, had to survive an
00:17encounter with this fantastical predator? In Outward 2, we want you to think in-game,
00:24the way you'd think in real life. The smart strategy is to avoid the fight altogether,
00:30but if that's not an option, you need to prepare accordingly. What would you do to stack the odds
00:38in your favor? I bet that some of you are thinking, I'd get a go. Hey, that makes sense. You're
00:45more
00:45secure from a distance than up close against those talents. Traps would help too, but this is a fantasy
00:51world. Wouldn't you want to learn magic? Well, it's not that simple. You need to sacrifice a part of
01:00yourself to wield arcane powers. And you need regents for your rituals. But it's definitely worth it.
01:10Magic isn't everyone's cup of tea. You might prefer to craft some sturdy gear. The right equipment,
01:18wielded with skill, will make a difference. And if that's not enough, well, there's no shame in
01:26finding some health. In Outward 2, we pull no punches, but we give you all the tools to fight
01:31back. So many games out there will hold your hand. We won't. You will earn your victories,
01:37through cleverness and grit. When you play an RPG, do you want to be powerful by default,
01:42to be the hero from a prophecy? Or would you rather live the harshness of an adventurous life,
01:49and learn how to survive, and eventually thrive, where many others have failed?
