Chef, author and TV presenter Nadiya Hussain, who won the Great British Bake Off in 2015, has released her 10th cookbook, Nadiya’s Quick Comforts – celebrating the food she makes so often at home, that’s fast to make and designed to be enjoyed slowly. The British-Bangladeshi chef, author and TV presenter was catapulted to fame after her win in 2015 and spent 10 years making cooking shows for the BBC before the shows weren’t recommissioned last year – a decision she says “shocked” her.

00:00Hi, I'm Nadia Hussain and here are my three top tips to save time in the kitchen.
00:05So number one, use frozen foods. Frozen foods, canned foods, anything that is already cooked
00:12or already kind of preserved, ready to go. So it cuts your cooking time.
00:18Another thing I would say is use lots of dried herbs and spices.
00:21This is going to kind of like elevate flavor without actually having to do very much prep.
00:26And another thing, and this will save tons of time in the kitchen, is use a pressure cooker.
00:32It's an amazing bit of kit that you're going to buy once and very likely never have to buy again.
00:37Really good for making stews like within 40 minutes. So it will save you tons of time.
