00:04podcast series, this time focusing on Erica Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder
00:10Charlie Kirk, who was shockingly assassinated during a public event last year.
00:15The dramatically edited trailer mostly features short sound bites from the widow with little
00:20context, as well as clips of other podcasters and personalities criticizing her in various
00:25ways. The short snippets focus on Erica's reactions to her late husband's tragic death
00:31and her appointment as Turning Point USA's new CEO, and even insinuate her being connected
00:37to conspiracies involving Israel and Romanian human trafficking. The announcement of the
00:42self-proclaimed investigative series titled Bride of Charlie, which seemingly plays on the horror
00:47movie title Bride of Chucky, drew intense backlash from the right online. American TV personality
00:54Meghan McCain went as far to call the series pure, unadulterated f***ing evil in a post
01:00on X. While conservative podcaster and former deputy FBI director Dan Bongino unleashed an
01:07impassioned, profanity-laced condemnation on his show.

01:20The new series, which will premiere on Wednesday, February 25th, is just the latest attack from
01:25Owens on Erica Kirk. In December, Erica Kirk furiously rebuked conspiracy theorists such as
01:31Owens for peddling unfounded claims about the death of her late husband during an interview
01:35with Fox News' Harris Faulkner. You know, I have to say it, I've never seen you like this.
01:40No, I'm, I'm very, I, this is righteous anger because this is not okay, it's not healthy.
01:47This is a mind virus. And so my message to them is to stop. To stop.
01:53Owens, who worked as a communications director for Turning Point USA between 2017 and 2019,
01:59has openly cast doubt on the notion that suspect Tyler Robinson acted alone.
02:04She's even floated theories that Charlie Kirk's own organization, quote,
02:08betrayed him and that the U.S. government was involved. Owens has seemingly implied,
02:14though not outright alleged, that Israeli intelligence may have also had a hand in
02:18Charlie's murder. About 48 hours before Charlie Kirk died, Charlie informed people at Turning Point,
02:23as well as Jewish donors and a rabbi, that he had no choice but to abandon the pro-Israel cause
02:31outright. Did he also express that he wanted to bring me, Candace Owens, back because he was
02:36standing up for himself? And then did he, just 48 hours later, conveniently catch a bullet to the
02:42throat before our onstage reunion? Owens has also contributed to the stirring of theories about
02:49the unreleased location of Charlie's burial, making unsubstantiated claims that he was laid to rest in
02:54a Catholic cemetery, despite him not being Catholic. But can I have one thing? Can my babies have one
03:01thing where we hold it sacred, where my husband is laid to rest, where I don't have to be worried
03:05about some secular revolutionary coming and destroying my husband's grave while my daughter
03:11is sitting there praying? Hours after Erica's Fox News appearance, Owens went on the attack again on
03:17her podcast, ripping Erica for using rhetoric as a mourning widow, rather than a company's new CEO.

03:30She gave us a motion. She gave us a motion. She said, I'm a mother, I am a wife, and

03:37about whether she was mother or wife. We want to know if she is a CEO and a chairman.
03:41Just days later, the pair announced they had a very productive in-person,
03:45four-and-a-half-hour meeting, with Owens even calling it a step in the right direction
03:49in a video she posted to social media, which many hopes signaled a possible thaw in their rift.
03:55This unfortunately does not seem to be the case. The right-wing podcaster is no stranger to
04:00controversy, however. She is already facing a defamation lawsuit from French President
04:04Emmanuel Macron's wife, Brigitte, for peddling outlandish claims that she's really a man,
04:10notably from her series titled Becoming Brigitte.
04:12What I'm saying is that you were born a man and you will die a man. That's the point I'm
04:17making.
04:18So give us a sample. I'll send my doctors to take your blood, figure it out real quick,
04:23however you want to go about this. Hey, how about just giving us some pictures again of you growing
04:27up, you know, raising your children? That would be fine.
04:30Owens has also amplified a grab bag of other conspiracy theories,
04:34such as questioning the moon landing and promoting COVID-19 vaccine misinformation.
