00:00Let's get into some of those games that matter tonight.
00:02In the ACC, NC State traveling to Virginia.
00:05Good one here, Joe.
00:07Overnight lines, minus 4.5 or so, but in the marketplace today, 5.5,
00:11even as high as 6, Joe.
00:12That's some outlets here in the total.
00:14It's at 152.5.
00:16What are we seeing tonight in the spread line between NC State and Virginia?
00:20Not the prettiest of games here tonight, but certainly a meaningful one here, Donnie,
00:25because both of these teams likely heading to the tournament,
00:30and we did see this earlier as well, by the way,
00:34and Virginia ended up handling business in a pretty easy way.
00:38So I think this is, when you look at North Carolina State,
00:43they have underperformed in some aspects, overperformed in others.
00:46I thought it was a great win for Virginia against Miami,
00:49but I think this is one of those spots, Donnie,
00:52where this is going to be a great litmus test for both of them.
00:55NC State is hitting from three.
00:57They don't need to get to the rim with the shooters that they have.
01:01I think they're going to be,
01:02I think they got a good chance of pulling this one down here against Virginia,
01:05who I happen to think is kind of a, could be a paper tiger here.
01:10I think a lot of people think they're better than they really are.
01:14Let's see what happens tonight, Joe, in the Big 12.
01:16Cincinnati taking on Texas Tech.
01:17Last time we saw Cincinnati absolutely smacking Kansas on the road.
01:21They're going to take on Texas Tech,
01:22who did pick up a victory in their last game without topping,
01:25now it's game number two without topping, but they still are the favorite, Joe.
01:28Six and a half overnight, still sitting at six and a half at most outlets right now.
01:32One forty two and a half is that total.
01:35Now, Texas Tech does come in as the most efficient offense,
01:37but again, down their best player.
01:39What gives tonight?
01:40Cincinnati, Texas Tech, what's that spread line?
01:43It's kind of crazy, right?
01:44So, Cincinnati goes to Kansas, right?
01:47Gets it done on a big upset, maybe the biggest upset ever,
01:52but they have been playing like a tournament team, Donnie,
01:55for the better part of maybe last two months, I would say, Cincinnati.
01:59And yes, they've lost some games badly, but they have been rolling right now.
02:03And Texas Tech, sure, they were able to win last game without topping.
02:07Can they keep that up here?
02:09Cincinnati is a tough team right now, and let's face it,
02:13you look at some of the standings here at Ken Palm and others,
02:16we're talking about a top 30 team in the country right now,
02:19and they've been playing like it.
02:20So, double digits for a team that's top 30?
02:23I might have to take those tonight with Cincinnati.
02:26How about this, Joe?
02:28Let's get to your boys, the Red Hawks of Miami of Ohio here,
02:31taking on Eastern Michigan and Ypsilanti.
02:33Look at the numbers overnight.
02:34Eight and a half to nine and a half, Joe,
02:35have now turned into ten and a halves at a lot of outlets here,
02:38and a total of 153 and a half.
02:40Can they stay unbeaten?
02:42And they bring the most efficient offense in MAAC play to town versus Eastern Michigan,
02:46close to a double-digit favorite at most outlets here, Joe.
02:49Can they hold up tonight, win, and also cover?
02:51What's that spread line?
02:53Well, at this point, Donnie, right,
02:54we don't care whether or not they actually cover anymore.
02:57It's really all about just winning and finishing the season undefeated.
03:01Ken Palm has them as a 39% chance of actually running the table in the regular season here.
03:09But the way they have been playing, Donnie,
03:11I mean, they have been blowing teams out here without a problem.
03:14Eastern Michigan is not a great team here.
03:17I think they roll in this game once again tonight.
03:19All right, let's get after a college basketball in full effect.
03:23Under three weeks until Selection Sunday,
03:25the excitement of college championships are going to start up next week, Joe.
03:29Did you know that?
03:30And away we go, elimination time.
03:31Love to see it here.
03:32But let's take a look at the AP poll for Week 16.
03:35Would you know who's on top now?
03:36It's the Duke Blue Devils.
03:37Why?
03:38In part because on Saturday at 6 o'clock down there in Washington,
03:41they knocked off the Michigan Wolverines,
03:43who were the previous number one team.
03:45Duke, Arizona, Michigan, Iowa State, and Houston, Joe,
03:48is your new top five.
03:50Well-deserved, right?
03:51I mean, you had to know that, well, if you beat the number one team,
03:55and number two lose, well, there's a good chance you might jump the pile.
03:59And that's exactly what happened to Duke here.
04:02Arizona, again, great win there that they were able to take advantage of Houston.
04:08They moved up.
04:09But any order, like, of those teams, I think in the top five,
04:13you got Iowa State at four, you got Houston now at five,
04:16although I think we have a problem.
04:18Houston, we have a problem here now with a three-in-a-row losing streak going 0-0-3
04:23in their last three.
04:25Not good.
04:25But I got to tell you, Duke, likely going to be, Donnie,
04:29I think, the number one team in the country when it's all said and done.
04:34Yeah, Fertitta's got to put a little bit more money into the NIL fund down there
04:37for Houston.
04:38Get the boys back going right here.
04:39That's not used.
04:40Houston losing three games in a row is actually crazy.
04:42Now, take a deep breath out there, people.
04:44And I have something that we're going to go over now,
04:46which we're going to have some fun with.
04:47What if I would tell you, Joe?
04:49I say, you know what, Joe?
04:50I'm going to miss tomorrow's show on the early line.
04:52Donnie, what did you do?
04:54Robbed three banks yesterday.
04:55Oh, man, we're never going to see Donnie around the Sports Grid Network anymore.
04:58You just can't do that.
04:59And then I tell you, no, no, no, no, no, no.
05:00I have 16 different courts lined up for appeal.
05:04So if I get convicted in New Jersey, Joe, I'm going to move to Pennsylvania for a court system.
05:08And if they still feel like they're going to convict me there,
05:10I'm going to head up there to Massachusetts.
05:12If they feel like they're going to still convict me, I'm going to then go to Maine.
05:16He said, that doesn't make any sense here.
05:17It doesn't.
05:18But you know what makes sense?
05:19College basketball players and college athletes doing this.
05:22You can go to a court system that tells you you can't do this
05:25and then just refile in another court system just to slow play and draw it out
05:29so you can play the rest of your season on an appeal only for it to get overturned finally,
05:34but the season's over and it doesn't matter.
05:36On three reports here, Charles Bidiaco has filed an appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court
05:40amid his eligibility denial.
05:42He is seeking interim injunction relief, allowing it to play while the appeal is pending.
05:47This is getting to be outrageous.
05:49Like we joked about it yesterday, Joe.
05:51Joey Aguiar, the quarterback for Tennessee.
05:53Just move it to 16 different court systems and then say,
05:56all right, I'll drop my appeal in late December when the football season is over.
06:00This is getting ridiculous.
06:02It just goes to show you, though, Donnie,
06:04because I'm pretty sure Charles Bidiaco is not funding this.
06:08Okay?
06:09So it goes to show you how much money is at stake when you're getting,
06:13you know what these attorneys are billing right now to take an appeal to the Supreme Court?
06:18Who's paying for that exactly, Donnie?
06:21Because it probably ain't Charles Bidiaco.
06:23It's somebody else who thinks that Charles Bidiaco can actually win this thing.
06:28Unbelievable, Donnie.
06:29But, hey, listen, don't hate, you know, don't hate the player.
06:33Hate the game because he's just doing what he is allowed to do at this particular point.
06:38Like we can do this in the college and the injunctions here.
06:41It feels like when a judge is like, okay, you can't do that.
06:43Well, fine.
06:44I'll just go to another jurisdiction.
06:45I guess appealing to the state Supreme Court of Alabama.
06:49Let's say, hey, by the way, there's six justices over there.
06:51Five of them graduated from Alabama.
06:53You're just looking for opportunities for yourself, which is absolutely incredible here.
06:57How about this opportunity, Joe?
06:58Or will it continue to even be an opportunity?
07:01Darren Peterson's availability is shaping Kansas' season.
07:04A quote here.
07:05This is from Bill Self.
07:06Have I really had a chance to coach you yet?
07:09Is he having fun this year with Peterson, one of the best players in college basketball,
07:12who's like, I don't know if I get the kid on a day-to-day basis if he's listening.
07:15Or, hey, do you want to play tonight?
07:18You got to love also Dick Vitale coming out and blasting him, being like,
07:22Bill Self and Kansas just need to move on from him.
07:25You know, divorce is good sometimes when it's just not working out.
07:29Yeah, I agree.
07:31And, you know, the worst part, Donnie, is that we just,
07:33have you even heard from him at all?
07:35Like, I can't, I don't think I've heard a press conference.
07:38I don't think I've heard anything from this kid.
07:41And that is by design.
07:43Let's, I don't know that Bill Self has had a conversation with this kid at all for any length of
07:48time.
07:49Yeah, I think he released a statement.
07:51Who even knows of a statement from him?
07:52Like, of course I want to play and play it hard here.
07:54Understand the facts of life here as well.
07:56Like Jimmy Johnson used to tell you, hey, look, if my backup long snapper falls asleep in a meeting,
08:01I will embarrass him and cut him in front of everybody.
08:03If Emmitt Smith falls asleep, I'll basically get him a pillow so he can sit back and relax at this
08:08point right now.
08:08But, yeah, there's Peter's like, basketball is my life and this is all that.
08:12It doesn't seem like it's your life.
08:13We're just trying to get to the pros and to the NBA.
08:15It is what it is.
08:16But last night, Joe, in the ACC, North Carolina, nice victory, 77-74 over Louisville.
08:21Game state under the total, too.
08:23Yeah, Trimble beats Louisville by himself here with a 30-point performance.
08:28But another top 25 team that Louisville and Pat Kelsey can't seem to get past.
08:34Unbelievable.
08:35It's a Tuesday.
08:36Here's bye-bye-bye.
08:43College basketball, pro basketball.
08:45Tomorrow, you can include hockey back into your lineup.
08:47But for tonight, Joe, where do we hit it?
08:49On the hardwood.
08:51Yeah, Donnie, like we have been every week, right, when they play, there's no reason to
08:58look to not back Miami of Ohio.
09:01The Red Hawks tonight just keep winning and winning in very impressive fashion, Donnie.
09:0627 regular season wins, 14-0 in MAAC play.
09:10They got a few more to get to to run the table and go undefeated.
09:14And listen, they have not played Eastern Michigan yet.
09:18But Eastern Michigan, their style is interesting, Donnie.
09:22They are going to want to keep this thing at about 60 possessions.
09:26They are slower than anything.
09:29Not going to matter.
09:30Miami of Ohio is going to run away with this one.
09:32Lay it with them here tonight again.
