Defence Secretary John Healey said he hopes the Ukraine war will end in 2026, as the conflict reaches its fourth year.Speaking at the Roman Catholic Parish of Ukrainian Cathedral, Mr Healey said the anniversary marks "four years of failure" for Russian President Vladimir Putin.Mr Healey said: "This was a war he thought he'd win in a week. He's lost more than a million men during that time. Russia has been fighting Ukraine, in Ukraine, for longer than the Soviet Union was fighting Germany during the Second World War."Today, four years on, Ukrainians are fighting with just the same courage, just the same defiance. Our job, our duty, as allies of Ukraine, is to stand by them, support them in their fight today, but also work to secure the peace for tomorrow."
