Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson says that Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer "is not responsible for the actions of one man in 2009" or "for the actions of Jeffrey Epstein" as she dismisses suggestions that the Labour government will be defined by the moment Lord Mandelson was arrested yesterday. 00:00So what we're focused on as a government is on delivering what we were elected to deliver for
00:04working people. So I've just been setting out really ambitious changes to our school system
00:08to make sure that young people have every chance to get on, that all our children in school can
00:12achieve and thrive. Unfortunately, Keir Starmer is not responsible for the actions of one man
00:16in 2009. He is not responsible for the actions of Geoffrey Epstein, the people responsible for
00:21the appalling incidents that took place of those individuals. Keir Starmer was not even a member
00:26of Parliament when this was taking place and it is right the police now do their work.
