00:02A federal judge in San Francisco spent more than five hours Thursday attempting to seat a jury in
00:07Elon Musk's investor-class action trial, as many prospective jurors expressed strong views about
00:13the billionaire, according to Fox Business. From a pool of 93, only nine jurors were selected
00:19after questioning about impartiality, Bloomberg Law reported. Nearly 40 were dismissed after
00:25saying they could not remain neutral. U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer said it would
00:29be nearly impossible to find jurors with no opinion about Musk because, as a public figure,
00:34he inspires strong views nationwide. The trial begins March 2nd and centers on claims that
00:40Musk violated securities law in 2022 by wavering on his agreement to buy Twitter,
00:45allegedly affecting the company's stock price. For all things money, visit Benzinga.com.
