00:00Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. Today we're diving into a fascinating discovery in the
00:05world of God of War Ragnarok, hidden cutscenes that were recently uncovered in the game files.
00:11Now before anyone asks, these scenes aren't accessible through normal gameplay. They exist
00:16in the game data itself, meaning you won't encounter them just by playing. This makes
00:20them similar to the hidden beginning of God of War Ragnarok that was found previously within
00:25the files of the 2018 game. Discoveries like this give us an incredible peek behind the
00:30curtain at content the developers created but ultimately chose not to include in the playable
00:35story. These new hidden cutscenes were discovered by Reddit user TheMorse, who has a history of
00:42uncovering hidden content in the God of War series. In fact, TheMorse previously found the
00:47beginning of Ragnarok tucked away in the 2018 game files, which is already an amazing feat.
00:53According to TheMorse, these newly discovered scenes could hold critical clues about the
00:58setting and story of the next mainline God of War game. Essentially, just like the beginning
01:03of Ragnarok was hidden in the 2018 files, these dialogues may represent early ideas or seeds
01:09for the story to come, giving fans a tantalizing glimpse into what the developers might be planning
01:14next.
01:15Let's talk about the first hidden cutscene. According to TheMorse, it features Athena speaking
01:20to what appear to be higher beings. The dialogue as transcribed from the files goes
01:25like this. A roped figure says,
01:28To left Gafinus, that's a fee. One failed us, one rejected us, Athena responds. We have
01:34a problem. While cryptic, this cutscene is fascinating because it seems to reference key characters
01:39in the series. The Morse believes that one failed us is a reference to Odin, while one rejected
01:45us refers to Atreus. The scene is brief, but it's intriguing because it implies a larger cosmic
01:51story beyond what we've seen in Ragnarok, hinting at higher powers influencing events
01:57or observing the actions of the main characters.
02:00The second hidden cutscene is arguably even more interesting for fans. This one features
02:05Atreus speaking with a mysterious character named Mao, who only communicates by saying their
02:10own name, much like Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. The transcript of the dialogue
02:14goes like this. Atreus says, Wake up. I think we're close. Mao responds, Mao? Atreus replies,
02:21Hey, you insisted on coming along. Come on, let's have a look. Mao responds again with Mao. Finally,
02:27Atreus says, I hope you're right. Sounds like we found it. According to the Morse, the word Mao
02:32actually means cat in Egyptian, and it's also one of the forms that Ra, the Egyptian sun god,
02:38takes in mythology. This opens up all kinds of speculation. Is Mao a hint towards Egyptian mythology,
02:44being included in the next game? Could Atreus be interacting with a deity or mystical creature
02:50we haven't yet seen? It's unclear, but the scene is undeniably intriguing and give fans plenty to
02:55theorize about. What's exciting about both of these cutscenes is they were created by the developers,
03:02but hidden in the game files, meaning they weren't intended for players to see in regular gameplay.
03:07That makes them all the more interesting because they represent ideas that were being considered
03:11behind the scenes. Finding these clips is like uncovering the secret blueprint of the story.
03:17We could see where the developers might have been heading even if the final game didn't include
03:21these moments. Fans of the series love digging into this kind of content because it gives context to
03:27what we've already experienced and teases what's coming next. In conclusion, these hidden cutscenes
03:33are a perfect example of the death and complexity of the God of War universe. Between Athena speaking with
03:39higher beings and Atreus interacting with the mysterious Mao, there's a lot here that could
03:44hint at future storylines, characters, or even mythologies that the series may explore. It's
03:50discoveries like this that make revisiting the game files so exciting for fans, and it shows just
03:55how much thought and experimentation goes into the development process. Even though these scenes are
04:01hidden and not playable, they provide incredible insight to the creative vision of the developers and
04:06opening the door to speculation about the next mainline game. If you enjoyed this deep dive into
