00:00Hey everyone, it's James from Fun Foods and today I'm going to show you how to make this
00:03mint chocolate chip ice cream. Nice, easy, and delicious. So keep watching and I'll show you
00:08step by step how to make this. First thing you want to do is in a large bowl, start off
00:12with
00:12two cups of heavy whipping cream. You want to whisk that on high until it forms stiff peaks.
00:33And the best way to test this to see if it's formed stiff peaks is simply hold it over
00:37your head upside down, nothing comes out, it's formed stiff peaks. If something comes out,
00:43you got a mess to clean up. Next what we want to do is add in one 14 ounce can
00:48of sweetened
00:48condensed milk and fold that in. All right, so after that's folded in, we're going to
00:59add some mint extract. And because this is mint flavor, it's chocolate chip mint, I'm going
01:09to add one and about a half of a teaspoon. I want an extra minty. Give that a gentle fold
01:17in. And also mint chocolate chip ice cream almost always is green. I don't know why it's green,
01:25but we're going to keep with that tradition and make it green as well. A couple drops
01:31of green food coloring. It's optional. You don't have to do this, but let's try to keep
01:36it consistent, right?
01:40Now we're going to add the chocolate chips. Now I'm only going to eyeball it. So I'm going
01:45to put about a half a cup to a cup of chocolate chips and fold those in. Let's go a
01:56little more.
02:03Now just bring in a freezer safe dish and we just want to scoop it out right on in there.
02:13Tap the bowl. There we go. Since this is a mint chocolate chip ice cream, I thought it'd be cool
02:20to add some chocolate mints to it as well. So I have these Andy candies and I'm just going to
02:26drop a few of them in here just sporadically. Now what we're going to do is cover this with some
02:31plastic wrap. And the reason we do that is to help prevent it from getting freezer burn.
02:37So make sure the plastic gets all the way down to the ice cream.
02:43There we go. Push it in there.
02:48Put our lid on.
02:52And put it in the freezer for at least four to six hours, overnight's best.
02:58All right, so it's been in the freezer overnight and I'm just going to take it off, open up that,
03:04take the plastic off. Looks delicious. Now let's scoop it out and dish it up.
03:16Well now it's time for the taste test and nothing better to taste it with than a green tiny spoon.
03:26You can taste all that mint chocolate chip. This is good.
