00:39He came into office promising to take the handbrake of AI development, and straightaway rescinded
00:44a Joe Biden executive order that required AI developers to share safety findings with
00:48the government.
00:49Trump is also fully behind Stargate, which is a half-trillion-dollar scheme to upgrade
00:54American AI infrastructure, with SoftBank as a key player, alongside Oracle and OpenAI.
00:59Nothing is slowing him down.
01:02Over the decades, Master Son has dabbled in many different industries, from trade shows
01:06and PC software to telecoms.
01:08In 2017, he launched his Vision Fund, which at $100 billion is the world's largest private

01:14It's fair to say that Son's fingers got burnt with several high-profile failures, most notably
01:19WeWork, into which SoftBank funneled over $18 billion before it went bankrupt.
01:24After that, and a few other losses, Son took a back seat from investing.
