00:23isn't back yet you know the the americans obviously aren't there the swedes aren't there
00:28the fins aren't there so you're you're missing missing a decent chunk of your team anyway and so
00:33you know kind of going into it i think the you know beers and i joked about it on on
00:39our broadcast about
00:40the guys who are going to the olympics obviously are playing a you know a lot of hockey during the
00:45this this couple of weeks stretch here the guys that have now made it into the medal round or you
00:51know have have a couple more games to go so it's a you know it's a decent a decent amount

00:56plus the travel back and forth to to italy and you know what's it going to do to those guys

01:02back into the league after this and will we see guys getting hurt obviously yesterday you know big
01:08news about potential of losing sydney crosby and and all of that um and so you you kind of looked

01:16it and it's like okay so what's it going to do to those guys and then on the other side

01:20common for players to get this much time off in the middle of a season as well so what does

01:25to those guys well it depends on how do they spend their break you know are they are they lying
01:30on a
01:30beach and you know drinking pina coladas for the last couple of weeks or you know have they been
01:35you know keeping up on their fitness and now they get back to kind of a regular practice schedule and
01:41so you know going into this this last what did i call it 48 days um it's it's impossible to
01:49know
01:49how how teams are going to respond you know the bruins had one of the better records of the league
01:54going into this break even though they stumbled in those last couple um you know can they manage
02:00to recapture that when they come out of the break that's a big question if the last two games i'm
02:05not mistaken were tampa and florida right right and they lost in overtime in both of those games
02:10right so getting two points on those two road games in florida you say they stumbled but that's not
02:16i mean that's pretty good you look you felt very differently about both of those games the tampa
02:22outdoor game they blew that huge yeah i mean they but take away that they'll bleed blowing the
02:27lead they should have won the tampa game out outdoors certainly you can't blow a four goal lead
02:31the florida game they came back and and and ended up getting a point out of that so you know

02:37kind of it turns out to be a wash i just think two points coming out of a road trip

02:44tampa away in florida away is not the end of the world like i get what you're saying that they

02:50games in overtime but going into that if you get two points those are two pretty good teams i know
02:56florida has been struggling a little bit but that's still a pretty good team you go back over
03:01you know you know they blew the the blew the lead against the rangers about a week prior to that

03:07ended up losing in overtime they blew a lead against nashville and ended up winning in overtime so it's
03:11like you know we've just kind of seen them in the in that last handful of games you know they

03:17left a couple of points probably on the table there but realistically i mean you go back to
03:22january the the eighth is when they started on that winning streak they've only lost once in
03:28regulation since then in essentially a month's worth of games um you know and so even with you
03:35know point here point there that they didn't get or you know or maybe they you know got a game

03:40overtime like they did against florida and ended up losing and you know you'd like to see them come
03:44out of that with a second point there's not a lot to complain about given that you know they
03:49they have gone on this stretch where earlier on in the season they were leaving points on the table
03:55now it's like they've gotten points in i i forget what the number it's like 13 of their last 14

04:01um you know and amazingly enough because of the other teams in the atlantic have been playing so well
04:06they really haven't been able to gain any ground they're still hanging on to that second wild card
