00:00They've just spent the night in police custody. Nine individuals, seven men and two women are
00:05suspected of being involved in the death of Canton Deronc. Their custody has been extended
00:11by 24 hours. This will give investigators time to answer the question who was involved in the
00:17beating of the far-right activist a week ago. Among those questioned is Jacques Ferrault a
00:23parliamentary assistant to far-left politician Raphael Arnaud. Through his lawyer he denies
00:29causing the death. He has admitted to the charge of violence and to having been present at
00:35the scene. He also stated that this was by no means an ambush but in fact a confrontation.
00:41Two other associates of Raphael Arnaud are among the suspects. Adrien B, a former intern, and
00:47Robin C, his parliamentary assistant, who is on the government security list for political
00:53radicalism. Last night the president of the National Assembly announced she'd suspended
00:58Robin C's access to the body due to his placement in police custody. Eleven people have been arrested
01:04since Tuesday as part of the investigation into the death of Canton Deronc.
