A man has gone viral after showing off a clever homemade door latch made from an seatbelt buckle.
The video, filmed in Yuncheng in northern China’s Shanxi province by Sun Xiaohui, shows a welded seatbelt buckle on the edge of a door.
He then welded a stainless steel hook onto the matching spot on the door frame, creating a simple locking system.
When the door closes, the hook slides neatly into the buckle slot, snapping into place just like a car seatbelt.
