00:00We're a fairly small committee, there's about seven members of us, but we meet once a week
00:04and everything is minuted. We had a face-to-face with the council back in May
00:12to look at other options because they want to use this for flats.
00:18And the Tain Centre in the village in the Methodist Church was suggested,
00:23but it's got a leaky roof and the availability is not there for us
00:27because this used to be open five days a week, serving breakfast, lunch,
00:30and it was a very popular centre for people who live on their own.
00:34And since that's gone, Age UK have moved out, we really haven't got much left in the village.
00:39I'm here to support all the volunteers that work at Age UK and the ones that really want to join
00:48because we have lost so much community-wise, socially and for mental health.
00:55A lot of old and young people came to visit and, you know, we just haven't got nothing here now.
01:04And if they haven't got a community hub, they can't mix, they can't expand their life.
