अमेरिकी एयर फोर्स ने बोइंग को GBU-57 मैसिव ऑर्डनेंस पेनेट्रेटर बंकर बमों का नया ऑर्डर दिया है। यह वही बम है जिसका इस्तेमाल 21 जून 2025 को ऑपरेशन मिडनाइट हैमर के दौरान ईरान के परमाणु ठिकानों पर किया गया था।
14,000 किलोग्राम वजन वाले इस गैर-परमाणु बम को B-2 स्पिरिट बॉम्बर से गिराया जाता है और यह 200 फीट तक कंक्रीट को भेद सकता है।
अमेरिका-ईरान के बढ़ते तनाव और दोबारा शुरू हुई परमाणु वार्ता के बीच यह कदम पश्चिम एशिया की स्थिति को और संवेदनशील बना रहा है।
The US Air Force has placed a new order for GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bunker buster bombs from Boeing. The same weapon was used during Operation Midnight Hammer on June 21, 2025, targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.
Weighing 14,000 kilograms and capable of penetrating up to 200 feet of concrete, the GBU-57 is considered the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal.
