00:08PAS Secretary-General Takyudin Hassan said the festive season should serve as a reminder
00:13of the importance of strengthening unity, upholding justice, and working together to
00:18build a prosperous and harmonious Malaysia.
00:21Citing the Chinese philosopher Confucius, the Kota Bharu MP said harmony in a plural
00:26society should be rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
00:30He said PAS wishes a happy new year to all Malaysians of Chinese descent, with the hope
00:35that this year will be filled with peace, prosperity, good health, and positivity for every family
00:41and individual.
00:42He also referred to the teachings of another Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu, who warned against
00:47the poison of excess and extremism.
00:50Takyudin said the festive season was a time for families and loved ones to gather in the
00:55spirit of gratitude, joy, and well-being while reflecting on shared values.
