00:35My name is Larry Nikolai. I'm the creative director for the new magic on Peter Pan's Flight.
00:40We've got all kinds of new magic added to this attraction here.
00:43And behind me, in the nursery scene, you can see one of our major additions.
00:47We have put all new figures of the darling children who are now flying,
00:51and they are going to fly with us to Neverland as we fly out the window with Peter Pan.
00:55And, of course, we're going to see Tinker Bell more in this attraction, too,
00:58and first encounter with her will be here in the nursery.
01:01She's going to be flying overhead with the children
01:04and sprinkling her pixie dust on them,
01:06which is, of course, making the magic for them to fly with us to Neverland.
01:10We have a whole new London town.
01:12We've added all kinds of new magical effects in there
01:15that I think are really going to surprise the guests.
01:17We've got a new moving river.
01:19We have all new animation on that so that the Thames is alive.
01:23We also have new animation on the tower clock
01:27with the kids who actually land on the clock, and you will see them,
01:30and Peter actually says,
01:32there it is, Wendy, second star to the right and straight on till morning,
01:36and then we're going to head toward that second star to the right,
01:38and you're actually going to see it explode with new magic
01:41before you actually head into the next scene.
01:43Once guests fly out of London town and toward Neverland,
01:46they'll encounter all sorts of wonderful new elements.
01:49They will see all of the waters of the island have been animated with media.
01:55So the whole island comes to life.
01:56All of the natural features are coming to life in magical new ways.
01:59There are waterfalls pouring into the lagoon that's sparkling as the water shimmers over the island shores.
02:06The rainbow will be calling to them in the distance,
02:09and the lava will be flowing down the volcano in a new menacing way.
02:16Once they fly out of Neverland, guests will see Skull Rock,
02:20and there's a brand new Tiger Lily figure bravely standing against the peril of the water
02:26that's ebbing and flowing and starting to rise around her.
02:30Past Tiger Lily, the guests will enter the pirate ship area
02:33where Peter and Captain Hook are engaged in more serious combat than they were in the past.
02:40After Pan and Hook's battle on the ship,
02:42guests will fly around to see Pan Victorious.
02:45And along with the Darling children,
02:47they will fly back to London with the help of Tinker Bell,
02:51who is actively sprinkling pixie dust all over the helm of the Jolly Roger.
02:56The approach we took in balancing the original attraction,
02:59which is of course the 1983 New Fantasyland version.
03:02Everybody knows and loves this,
03:04and it's a beloved attraction.
03:06So we were very respectful of that.
03:08We never put new technology in just for the sake of new technology.
03:12It has to support the storytelling.
03:15One of the things our guests may not realize
03:16is that we actually have a couple of pieces from the original attraction
03:19that go all the way back to the 1955 version.
03:24Nana in the nursery has been there since the beginning.
03:27And we also have Admiral Nelson in London Town.
03:32We wanted to take what was already the most memorable and special
03:36and the parts of Neverland and London Town that live in our guests' hearts
03:40and make sure that the next time they ride,
03:43these elements will be even more magical than they last remembered.
03:46Can't wait to share it with our guests.
03:48I hope you all get to come and fly off to Neverland
03:51to enjoy our new magic at Peter Pan's Flight.
03:53Many guests count Peter Pan's flight among their all-time favorite attractions.
03:58The enchanting flight over Victorian London to a fantasy island
04:01offers one of Disneyland's prettiest views.
04:04However, many guests also count Peter Pan's flight among
04:07Disneyland's most frustrating attractions.
04:09Even when park attendance is low,
04:11the attraction always seems to have long, slow-moving lines.
04:14Then, having waited 45 minutes to board the ride,
04:18guests are quickly whisked away from the scenic Neverland vistas
04:21before they can really study them.
04:23Displeased Peter Pan flight fans are like sleepers
04:26roused prematurely from a sublime dream.
04:28Voices, Peter Pan, Ronnie McMillan,
04:31Wendy, Kathryn Beaumont,
04:33Captain Hook,
04:34and Mr. Smee, Corey Burton.
04:35One, two, three...
04:38We can fly! We can fly! We can fly! We can fly!
04:50Come on, everybody! Here we go!
05:02We can fly! We can fly! Here we go!
05:14Kiss at knight, knight, knight, knight!
