00:01A six-year-old boy was found charred after a fire destroyed a double-storey
00:06terraced house in Taman Baiduri Banting early Sunday.
00:10Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director in Operations,
00:14Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said firefighters received a distress call at 4.42am
00:20and arrived three minutes later.
00:22The operations commander reported that the blaze had engulfed a 20-by-75-foot house,
00:28with two victims believed trapped inside.
00:32The fire was brought under control at 5.05am.
00:36The boy's body was later discovered in an upstairs room,
00:40while a local man in his 30s suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
00:46The house, which was occupied by 10 people, was 85% destroyed.
00:51The fire was fully extinguished at 7am.
00:53A total of 10 firefighters from two stations were deployed.
00:58The cause of the fire is under investigation.
