00:00I'm going to explain why the Metropolitano pitch, basically, was crap.
00:03Because it's true that last night, there was one topic that came up quite a bit, c
00:06'That was the state of the Metropolitano pitch.
00:07And we all agree that a major European club needs to have an impeccable pitch.
00:11And that's nothing new in Madrid.
00:12Even before that match, Antoine Griezmann and Coqui had explained that the pitch was not in good condition.
00:16that it was a pitch that made precision passes difficult,
00:19and especially that, firstly, it caused many slips, and secondly, in certain places, it was decomposing.
00:23So I did a little research, and it turns out that in November 2025, Atletico has
00:27replaced his lawn.
00:28It should be noted that the Metropolitano has hosted the NFL in Madrid, and especially the Miami Dolphins' training sessions.
00:33Following this, the Madrid club called upon a Dutch company, Grassmaster Solution.
00:38specializing in hybrid turf for lawn renovation.
00:40Except that the conditions in Madrid lately weren't like that.
00:42There was rain, there was cold, there was snow.
00:45And that's how we end up with a lawn that's decomposing in places, sliding to the right.
00:49left, and even heavy.
00:50This means that sometimes the ball has some unexpected bounces.
00:52And it's true that it may have played a part in the first goal conceded by FC Barcelona.
00:56After we've all agreed, okay, the lawn wasn't in good condition, etc.
00:59Now, that's still not normal.
01:01Whether it's a perfect pitch or a shitty pitch, to concede a goal like that when it's FC Barcelona.
01:04But afterwards, we'll continue to have slip-ups, that's why Nahuel Molina, by the way, will
01:08slide several times.
01:09Juan Laporta, of course, didn't hesitate to mow the lawn too.
01:11While I can agree with him, for me that doesn't explain the 4-0 scoreline at all.
01:15that they put in their heads.
01:16It's not the pitch's fault that the Barça defenders started playing the
01:20Offside beyond the halfway line.
